Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION NO. 48.

THE Maori Land Board for the Waiariki Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Tahora 2A, Section D, No. 2, will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Ruatoki, on Wednesday, the 19th day of July, 1911, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution :—

“That a proposed lease of the said land to Frederick Ansel Tiffen shall be agreed to.”

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION NO. 48.

THE Maori Land Board for the Waiariki Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Section 25, Block II, Maketu Survey District, will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Te Puke, on Saturday, the 8th day of July, 1911, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution :—

“That a proposed sale of the said land to Robert King shall be agreed to.”

REGULATION NO. 48.

THE Maori Land Board for the Waiariki Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Otuhounga Block will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Oruanui, on Wednesday, the 26th day of July, 1911, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution :—

“That a proposed lease of the said land to Sydney Robert Palmer and William Edward Palmer shall be agreed to.”

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION NO. 48.

THE Maori Land Board for the Waikato-Maniapoto Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Aorangi B No. 2 will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1911, at Te Kuiti, on Tuesday, the 4th day of July, 1911, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution :—

“That the land be sold to John Derenzy for the sum of £1 per acre.”

Maori Lands for Sale and Lease by Public Tender.

Office of the Tokerau District Maori Land Board, Auckland, 19th June, 1911.

NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of the Native Land Act, 1909, and the regulations thereunder, that written tenders will be received at the office of the Tokerau District Maori Land Board, Auckland, up to 5 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 9th August, 1911, for the purchase of the several lands named in the First Schedule hereto; and that written tenders will also be received at the same time and place for leases of the several lands named in the Second Schedule hereto for a term of twenty-two years and a half, with right of renewal for a further term of twenty-three years.

Pouto No. 2e No. 10 Block.—Te Kuri, Hukatere, North Head, and Okaka Survey Districts.

This block, with the exception of about 300 acres on the eastern boundary and the fresh-water lakes, is purely drift sand.

Ohao No. 2b Block.—Parengarenga Survey District.

The land is fairly easy hill land, situate at the head of the Parengarenga Harbour. It is covered with stunted manuka and fern. The land has been covered with kauri bush, and will most likely be found to be gum-bearing. Access is from the Parengarenga Harbour.

Ohao No. 2c Block.—Parengarenga Survey District.

Situate on the seaward side of the Parengarenga Harbour. The land is fairly easy hill; on the seaward side there are small sandhills. The block is covered with stunted manuka and fern, and is fairly well watered.

Pikinga Block.—Hokianga Survey District.

Situated near Omapere, at the Hokianga Heads. The block is fairly steep, and the soil of a clayey formation.

Pouto No. 2e Nos. 1 and 2 Blocks.—Te Kuri and Hukatere Survey Districts.

Situated on the Wairoa River below Dargaville. The river side of the block is rough gum-land, mostly dug out. A large portion of the block from the Native reserve to the coast is sandy, with a scant vegetation of toetoe and small manuka. Access is by the Wairoa River. A right of way is reserved from the river to the Native reserve.

Kakaraiea Block.—Tauhoa Survey District.

The land is third-class gum-land, undulating on the high levels, and terminating towards waters edge mostly in cliffs. There are a few clumps of Native bush in the gullies near the water. The land is covered with small manuka and fern. Access is from the Kaipara Harbour.

Opito Block.—Russell Survey District.

The block is situated about two or three miles from Russell on the sea-coast. The land is undulating to hilly, the soil being of a clayey nature and covered with manuka. Access is by water.

NOTE.—With respect to Lots 1 and 5, an Order in Council under section 203 will issue.

Land for Sale.

  1. Land is to be sold subject to reserve price as set out in the First Schedule.

  2. Every tender shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the President, and marked on the outside as follows : “Tender for purchase of Block, as adver-
