APPLICATION having been made to me to register a transfer of Section 4, Block XIV, Town of Arden, in exercise of power of sale in Mortgage No. 14616, whereof ADAM CULLEN, of Middlemarch, Farmer, is the registered mortgagee, and a declaration having been lodged of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of said mortgage, I hereby give notice that I intend to register the said transfer and dispense with the production of the said duplicate mortgage, as empowered by section 40 of the Land Transfer Act, 1908, unless caveat be lodged in this office forbidding the same within fourteen days from the date of the publication hereof.

MINING NOTICES.

THE TANGIARO GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

THE following special resolutions were passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company held in the company’s office on Tuesday, 16th May, 1911, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on Wednesday, 31st May, 1911 :—

  1. “That the Tangiaro Gold-mining Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.”

  2. “That LESLIE GORDON MURRAY, of Auckland, Accountant, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the company; and that the Liquidator’s remuneration be fixed at £10 10s.”

APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.
(No. 29/11.)

To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Queenstown.

PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1908, the undersigned, Joseph Cyprian Fenn, of Diamond Lake, Glenorchy, Sheep-farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 29th May, 1911, at 9 a.m.

Date and number of miner’s right: 6th April, 1911; No. 85579.

Address for service: Office of Wesley Turton, Solicitor, Queenstown.

Dated at Queenstown, this 29th day of May, 1911.

Schedule.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: Out of a small creek known as “The River Jordan” running down the side of Mount Earnslaw, commencing about 50 yards east of boundary of applicant’s freehold Section 6, Block II, Dart District; running south-westerly through Crown lands and applicant’s freehold Sections 6 and 5, Block II, Dart District; thence southerly across a county road and through and terminating in applicant’s freehold Section 3 of the same block, near to “Arcadia” (private boardinghouse).

Length and intended course of race: About 900 yards south-west and southerly.

Points of intake: Commencing-point.

Estimated time and cost of construction: One month; £15.

Mean depth and breadth: 6 in. deep, 18 in. wide.

Number of heads to be diverted: Two heads.

Purpose for which water is to be used: Domestic, irrigation, industrial, driving machinery, and supplying any tank, houses, stables, or works.

Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, WILLIAM LANG CASEY and GEORGE ANTHONY NICKS, in the business of Moulding-manufacturers and Woodworkers, carried on by us at Stanley Street, Auckland, under the style of “Casey and Nicks,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 26th day of May, 1911; and the business will be henceforth carried on by the said WILLIAM LANG CASEY alone, who will pay and discharge all debts and liabilities, and receive all money payable to the said late firm. NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership which has for some time past been carried on by FRANCIS LOGAN, EDWARD HEATHCOTE WILLIAMS, and WALTER JAMES WHITE, under the firm of “Logan, Williams, and White,” at Hastings, in the profession of Solicitors, was this day dissolved by mutual consent.
