Land proclaimed as a Road in Blocks III and IV, Whaingaroa Survey District, Raglan County.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owner of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and of the Raglan County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Whaingaroa Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Suspendi ng Provisions of certain Acts in the Case of the Coronation New Zealand Industrial Exhibition, 1911.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of May, 1911.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE JAMES CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, the holding of an exhibition at Wellington, under the name of the Coronation New Zealand Industrial Exhibition, 1911, was authorized, and the said exhibition was declared to be an exhibition within the meaning of the Exhibitions Act, 1910: And whereas it is expedient to suspend the provisions of certain Acts in the case of the said exhibition as hereinafter appears:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by section nine of the Exhibitions Act, 1910, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth, in the case of the said exhibition, hereby suspend the provisions of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908, and of any award or industrial agreement in force thereunder, and of the Factories Act, 1908, and of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, and also of any amendment of those Acts in so far as those provisions relate to the hours of commencing or of ceasing work, or to the issue of permits for overtime or extended hours, or to holidays or half-holidays, or to the closing of shops, and in so far as they affect the Commissioners for the said exhibition, or any person employed by them, or any exhibitor, or any person employed in or about the said exhibition.

SECTION 9 (2), the Exhibitions Act, 1910: “Nothing in this section shall authorize the working by any person of a greater number of hours in any day or in any week, nor the payment to any person of a lower rate of wages, than is provided for ordinary work or for overtime under any Act, or any award or industrial agreement under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908.”
