Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson - Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Land taken for a Waterwork in Blocks III, Port Nicholson, and XI, Belmont Survey Districts, Makara County, the Onslow Borough, and the Johnsonville Town District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, for the purposes of a waterwork in Makara County, the Onslow Borough, and the Johnsonville Town District:

And whereas an agreement has been entered into with the owners of the said land to take the said land for the purpose above mentioned :

And whereas the Johnsonville Town Board has laid before the Governor a memorial, together with a map, in duplicate, as required by the Public Works Act, 1908 :

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a waterwork, and shall vest in the Corporation of the Johnsonville Town Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twelfth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed :

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities in me vested by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a police-station as aforesaid ; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
