WELLINGTON, THURSDAY, MAY 11, 1911.

Constituting the Town District of Napier South, in the County of Hawke’s Bay.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is enacted by the Town Boards Act, 1908, that the Governor may declare that any locality outside a borough wherein there are not less than fifty householders shall be a town district :

And whereas a petition has been presented to the Governor by the inhabitants within the area mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto, praying that such area may be constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908 :

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said area shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, by the name of the Napier South Town District. And in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of five members.

SCHEDULE.

NAPIER SOUTH TOWN DISTRICT.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded towards the north, north-east, and east by the Borough of Napier from the western side of the northern end of George’s Drive to Ellison Street at the south-eastern corner of Section No. 226, Napier South; thence by the southern boundary of that section to the north-eastern side of George’s Drive; thence by a right line across George’s Drive; and thence towards the south-west by the south-western side of the said George’s Drive to the place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and eighty-nine of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and take as a road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

ERRATUM.—In the Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 20th April, 1911, withdrawing land from Pukehu Village Settlement, Taranaki Land District, for “Section 3, Block XI, Opunake Survey District,” read “Section 30, Block XI, Opunake Survey District.”
