No. 29311.—22nd March, 1911.—JOHN WATSON MORROW, of Murrayville, Victoria, Australia, Farmer; and BRUCE EDWARDS, of Pinnaroo, South Australia, Australia, Storekeeper. Improvements in fence, telegraph, and other posts.
Claims.—(1.) In combination with an angular post, a plurality of apertured anchor-plates, slidable along the post, but adapted to be kept apart by earth or like suitable filling, one or more projections bent from the post being under and supporting the lower plate, means also being provided as a spike in the post for keeping down the upper plate. (2.) A post having one or more integral base projections to support an apertured anchor-plate provided on the post, and slidable on it, the part of the post to be above the ground being prepared for fencing or other purposes, and adapted to receive one or more additional slidable anchor-plates, and post-apertures or means for keeping said plate or plates down in predetermined position.

No. 29315.—22nd March, 1911.—CECIL GEORGE MCKELLAR, Associate Mechanical Engineers, of Christchurch, New Zealand, Civil Engineer. Rear-wheel fittings for cycles.
Claims.—(1.) In a device of the class described, the combination with the rear fork of a cycle-frame having a slot adapted to receive the axle and allow of movement of the latter for chain-adjustment, of a spiral-shaped cam keyed upon said axle and having its periphery flanged over so as to engage a suitable slotted guide secured upon the frame, substantially as and for the purpose set forth. (2.) In a device of the class described, the combination with the rear fork of the cycle-frame having a slot adapted to receive the axle and allow of movement of the latter for chain-adjustment, and a spiral-shaped cam keyed upon said axle and adapted to engage with a suitable guide arranged upon the frame so as to control the movement of the axle within the slot, of a stop formed upon the cam at the outer termination of its periphery so as to prevent such cam from disengaging its guide, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
