Shooting Season for Native Game, Ashburton Acclimatization District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following native game—viz., grey duck, teal, pukeko, and black swan—may be killed within the Ashburton Acclimatization District, comprising the County of Ashburton (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto), from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, both days inclusive.

SCHEDULE.

AREAS WHEREIN NATIVE GAME SHALL NOT BE KILLED.

ALL lands notified or set apart as sanctuaries or reserves for the preservation of imported or native game.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Shooting Season for Imported and Native Game, License Fee, &c., Bay of Islands Acclimatization District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game—viz., cock pheasants and Californian quail—may be killed within the Bay of Islands Acclimatization District, comprising the County of Bay of Islands and part of the County of Hokianga (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto), from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, both days inclusive. And I do further notify that licenses to kill such imported game within the said district shall be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each.

And I do further notify that the following native game—viz., native pigeon, grey duck, and pukeko—may be killed within the above-mentioned district (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto) from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, both days inclusive; and that the Postmasters at Russell, Kohukohu, Kaikohe, Kawakawa, Rawene, Herekino, Ohaeawai, and Okaihau are hereby appointed to sign and issue the said licenses to kill imported game.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game—viz., hares—may be killed within the Buller Acclimatization District, comprising the County of Buller (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto), from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, both days inclusive. And I do further notify that licenses to kill such imported game within the said district shall be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each.

And I do further notify that the following native game—viz., native pigeon and grey duck—may be killed within the above-mentioned district (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto) from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, both days inclusive; and that the Chief Postmaster at Westport is hereby appointed to sign and issue the said licenses to kill imported game.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game—viz., Californian quail—may be killed within the Canterbury Acclimatization District, comprising the Counties of Cheviot, Ashley, Akaroa, Malvern, Paparua, Heathcote, Halswell, Springs, Ellesmere, Selwyn, Waipara, Wairewa, Tawera, Waimari, and Mount Herbert (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto), from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, both days inclusive. And I do further notify that licenses to kill such imported game within the said district shall be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each.

And I do further notify that the following native game—viz., pukeko, grey duck, spoonbill duck, and black swan—may be killed within the above-mentioned district (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto) from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, both days inclusive; and that the Chief Postmaster at Christchurch is hereby appointed to sign and issue the said licenses to kill imported game.

SCHEDULE.

AREAS WHEREIN IMPORTED AND NATIVE GAME SHALL NOT BE KILLED.

ALL that area in the County of Akaroa situated in the Akaroa and Ellesmere Survey Districts, Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,540 acres, more or less, being the lake known as Lake Forsyth, including all roads fronting on the shores of the said lake.

Also all those reserves in the said county and survey districts numbered 3186, 3187, 3185, 2903, 250, 810, 890, and 157.

Also that area situated at Woodend, in the Mandeville and Rangiora Road District, and defined in notification published in Gazette No. 93, of 8th November, 1900.

Also that area known as Yarr’s Lagoon, near Greenpark, and defined in Gazette No. 52, of 23rd June, 1904.

Also all that area within one mile on each side of the West Coast (Christchurch–Hokitika) Road from Springfield to Dillmanstown.

Also Ahuriri Lagoon.

Also Horseshoe Lake.

Also Glenmark Lagoon.

Also Cheviot Lagoon.

Also all that part of the River Avon and its tributaries from Dallington Bridge to where such river and its tributaries are respectively crossed by the Main Trunk Railway line to the north.

Also lagoons at Amberley—namely, all that area, containing 74 acres, more or less, being Section No. 5664, Block XII, Grey Survey District, the said section being the property of Alfred Edward Tutton, of Amberley; and

Also all that area, containing 162 acres, more or less, being Section No. 7409, Block XII, Grey Survey District, the said section being the property of Frederick Busch, of Newlands, Amberley.

Also all lands notified or set apart as sanctuaries or reserves for the preservation of imported or native game.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
