Altitude, 100 ft. to 200 ft. above sea-level. All fern land; about 15 acres undulating, balance broken. Clay soil, fair to poor in quality, resting on slate formation; well watered by stream. Situated about twelve miles from Huntly, partly by cart-road and partly by formed track. Access also by launch from Rangiriri to Awaroa Landing, thence one mile by surveyed road not formed. About 5 chains of fencing in poor repair on section.

Opening National Endowment Lands in Westland Land District for Selection.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the national endowment lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Tuesday, the twentieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Notifying Land in Southland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

The section is open land; soil good, being mostly river-flat; but about one-third of it is terrace upon which the land is not quite so good. It is well situated, and is accessible by good road, and distant about two miles and a quarter from Hedgehope.
