Amending Boundaries of Maraetai and Wairoa Road Districts, County of Manukau.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of March, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the Counties Act, 1908, is suspended in the County of Manukau: And whereas, in pursuance of section twenty-four of the Road Boards Act, 1908, petitions have been presented to His Excellency the Governor praying him to alter the boundaries of the Maraetai and Wairoa Road Districts, situated in the said County of Manukau:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Road Boards Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that, from and after the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, the area described in the First Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Maraetai Road District and added to the Wairoa Road District, and that the boundaries of the said Maraetai Road District and of the said Wairoa Road District shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA TO BE EXCLUDED FROM MARAETAI ROAD DISTRICT AND ADDED TO WAIROA ROAD DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north and east generally by the sea from the easternmost corner of Waiomaru Block to the south-eastern corner of Papepape Block; thence towards the south-west by Wairoa Parish to the south-eastern corner of Kiripaka Block; thence towards the north-west and again towards the south-west by the said Kiripaka Block to the southernmost corner of Okaroro Block; and thence again towards the north-west by Okaroro, Waihohono, and Waiomaru Blocks to the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

MARAETAI ROAD DISTRICT (AMENDED BOUNDARIES).

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north and north-east by the sea; towards the east generally by Maraetai and Papepape Blocks from the sea to the northern boundary of Wairoa Parish; thence by that parish to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 72, Maraetai Parish; thence towards the south-west by the south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 46 and 34, Maraetai Parish, to the Waikopua Creek; and thence towards the west generally by the said Waikopua Creek and the sea.

WAIROA ROAD DISTRICT (AMENDED BOUNDARIES).

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-west generally by the Papakura Road District as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 76, of the 8th October, 1908, from the southernmost corner of Section No. 42, Papakura Parish, to the north-western corner of Section No. 80, Wairoa Parish; thence by Section No. 71, Maraetai Parish, the road forming the eastern boundary of Section No. 72, and by Section No. 46, Maraetai Parish, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by Kiripaka, Okaroro, Waihohono, and Waiomaru Blocks to the sea; thence towards the east and north generally by the sea to the northernmost corner of Waitawa Block; thence again towards the east generally by Waitawa, Te Kawakawa, Te Kawakawa No. 2, and Kiripaka Blocks to Section No. 74, Otau Parish; thence towards the south generally by Sections Nos. 74, 76, 77, 87, 88, 89, and 86, Otau Parish, to the Wairoa River; thence by a line across that river and by its left bank to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 112, Hunua Parish; thence by the north-eastern boundary-line of that section and its production to the middle of the road at the north-western corner of the said Section No. 112; thence by a line along the middle of that road passing Sections Nos. 174, 173, and 172 to the road reserve west of the said Section No. 172; thence by a line through that reserve to Hay’s Creek; thence by the said Hay’s Creek, which forms the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 170, to the southernmost corner of the said Section No. 170; thence by Section No. 168, Hunua Parish aforesaid, to the road which forms its north-western boundary; thence by the south-eastern side of that road to the western boundary of the Hunua Parish; thence by the western and southern boundaries of that parish to the northern boundary of the Town District of Papakura, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 69, of the 17th August, 1882; thence by that town district to the place of commencement.
