Notice of Request to amend Specification.
Patent Office,
Wellington, 10th January, 1911.
REQUEST for leave to amend the undermentioned application for Letters Patent has been received, and is open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time from one month from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the amendments. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.
No. 26634.-C. E. Rae. Camp-stove. (Advertised in this issue of the Patents Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette.) The nature of the proposed amendment is as follows; To add the following description of the invention and to add drawings to the specification:-
The stove is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Fig. 1 is a front elevation and Fig. 2 a sectional elevation thereof. A is the frame of the stove. B is the fireplace. C is the cooking-chamber arranged above the fireplace, and made of such a size as to provide a clear space all round it for the heat from the fireplace to pass through. D is the false bottom for the fireplace, which is provided with a grating E, and upon which the lamp or fire for heating the stove may be placed. F are doors in the front of the fireplace to allow of the lamp or fire being placed in position and attended to when required, and F1 is an air-inlet opening in the front of the stove beneath the false bottom D to allow of air for combustion entering the fireplace. G is the cover fitting over and adapted to close the cooking-chamber G in order to form it into an oven for baking purposes. H are the apertures in the bottom of the cooking-chamber, and J the covers for closing them when required. These covers are kept in position when the chamber is being used as an oven. When the stove is to be used for boiling the contents of saucepans or the like these covers are removed so that the heat from the fire may have full access to the bottom thereof when placed in the chamber to extend over the apertures H. K are the slots in the front walls of the chamber and stove frame to allow of the saucepan handles projecting outwards, and M are the corresponding slots formed in the flange of the cover G for fitting over such handles.
One of the drawings is reproduced in this issue.
The applicant states: "My reason for making the amendments is to more completely and particularly describe and illustrate the construction of the invention."
J. C. LEWIS,
Registrar.
