NOTICE is hereby given that, surrenders of the undermentioned lands having been accepted by resolution of the Marlborough Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Worker's Dwelling at Sydenham, Canterbury Land District, for Lease by Application.

NOTICE is hereby given that a worker's dwelling of four rooms, with conveniences, situated on Lot 20, Camelot Settlement, Seddon Street, Sydenham, comprising an area of 35·6 perches, will be open for application on Wednesday, the 15th day of March, 1911, under the provisions of the Workers' Dwellings Act, 1910. The rental, at the rate of 5 per cent. on the capital value, is at the rate of £2 1s. per month, with a monthly addition to cover rates and insurance, the additional monthly payment in respect thereof for the first year being 6s. 8d., making a total monthly payment of £2 7s. 8d.

Applicants will be required to appear for examination at this office during the ordinary office hours, or at 7.30 p.m., on Thursday, 16th March, 1911, and the ballot will be held the same evening at the close of the examination. Possession will be given to the successful applicant a week later.

Reserve in Westland Land District for Lease by Public Tender.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders will be received at this office up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, the 5th day of April, 1911, for a lease of the undermentioned land, for a term of fourteen years, under the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

PART Reserve 345, Block V, Poerua Survey District : Area, 167 acres 3 roods 6 perches ; minimum annual rental, £4.

Terms and Conditions of Lease.

1. All tenders must be accompanied by a deposit of one half-year's rent at the rate offered, together with £1 1s. lease fee.
2. Possession will be given on the day of sale.
3. Term of lease, fourteen years.
4. No conditions are imposed as to residence or improvements, and the lessee shall not be entitled to claim any compensation, nor shall any compensation be allowed, on account of any improvements effected nor for any other cause; but the lessee shall be entitled at the termination of the lease to remove any fencing and buildings he may have erected on the land.
5. The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance.
6. The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the land comprised in the lease, except with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.
7. The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of noxious weeds, and shall with all reasonable dispatch cause the same to be removed.
8. The lessee shall provide accommodation as required for travelling stock at a charge of ½d. per head per day or portion of a day for sheep, and 3d. per head per day or portion of a day for cattle.
9. The lessee shall discharge all rates, taxes, charges, and other assessments that may become due and payable.
10. The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the said lease within thirty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned pastoral run is open for license, and applications will be received at this office up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 28th day of March, 1911, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and section 91 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1910.

RUN 501, Tuapeka County (Class B) : Area, 4,495 acres; term, thirteen years; annual rental, £66; valuation for improvements, £123 17s.

Locality and Description.

Rough, broken, pastoral land, summer country only. Altitude, 2,000 ft. to 5,000 ft. Distant about nine miles from Roxburgh. The improvements consist of fencing on boundary with Run 425B, 176 chains, at 6s. per chain, £52 16s.; fencing on half boundary with Small Grazing-run No. 500, 98 chains, at 7s. per chain, £34 6s.; fencing on half boundary with Small Grazing-run No. 502, 36 chains, at 10s. per chain, £18; fencing on half boundary with Small Grazing-run No. 502, 50 chains, at 7s. 6d. per chain, £18 15s. : total, £123 17s.
