Forbidding Money-order and Postal Correspondence for the Vecsey Varixarium, Sydney.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the institution whose name and present address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in a fraudulent business, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said institution shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said institution (either by its own or any fictitious or assumed name), or to the manager, secretary, or other officer thereof, or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered, forwarded, or delivered by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Revocation and Appointment of Sufferance Wharves.

CUSTOMS.--In exercise of the power vested in me for this purpose by the Customs Law Act, 1908, I, George Fowlds, Minister of Customs, do hereby revoke Minister's order No. 208 of the 14th day of February, 1884, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 14th day of August, 1884, appointing certain wharves at Auckland to be sufferance wharves for the lading and unlading of sugar, coal, and duty-free goods, and in lieu thereof do hereby appoint that, from the date hereof, the two wharves belonging to the Colonial Sugar Refining Company (Limited), situated at their refinery at Chelsea, in the Borough of Birkenhead, shall be deemed to be sufferance wharves for the lading and unlading of free goods and of dutiable goods of such nature and under such conditions as the Collector of Customs may from time to time permit.

I, , do hereby certify as follows :-

  1. That I am [Insert the word “partner,” “manager,” “chief clerk,” “principal,” or “principal official,” giving the rank and the name of the firm, as the case may be] the exporter of the goods specified on this invoice or upon the invoice sealed hereto.

  2. That the said invoice is in all respects correct and true, and that all charges are correctly and separately stated thereon.

  3. That the said invoice exhibits the fair market value of the said goods when sold for home consumption in like quantity and condition in the principal markets of the country whence and at the time when exported directly to New Zealand, without any deduction (a) on account of bounty, or on account of any royalty actually payable thereon, or payable thereon when sold for home consumption, but not payable when exported; or (b) on account of any discount for export only or on account of any special discount or cash discount except where so clearly and separately specified, or on account of any special consideration whatsoever.

  4. I also certify (a) that unless otherwise clearly stated all prices or discounts specified in the said invoice are allowed to all buyers of similar quantities alike, and that they are not specially cut prices or discounts, or discounts or prices allowed specially to agents or on account of a contract to take goods greater in quantity or value than those appearing upon the said invoice within a stated period; (b) that no arrangement or understanding affecting the purchase-price of the said goods has been or will be made or entered into between the said exporter and the purchaser, or by any one on behalf of either of them, either by way of special discounts, rebate, salary, compensation, or in any manner whatsoever other than as shown in the said invoice.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks V and VI, Tauakira Survey District, for Scenery-preservation Purposes.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for scenery-preservation purposes. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Koriniti, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.
