IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fifteenth section of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

as representative of the Clutha County Council to the Otago Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

Notifying the Proposed Exchange of Crown Lands in the Hawke’s Bay Land District for other Land.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-two of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land which in his opinion is of approximately equal value, and that all land acquired by the Crown by any such exchange shall become Crown land, and be subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908 :
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the Crown lands described in the first column of the Schedule hereto for the land described in the second column of the said Schedule, and the owner of the land described in the second column of the said Schedule has agreed to such exchange :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said section one hundred and forty-two, doth hereby declare that it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the areas of Crown lands described in the first column of the Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the area of land described in the second column of the said Schedule.

Bounded towards the north-west, north-east, and east generally by a road reserve along the sea-coast, 5000 links; and towards the south-west by Section No. 1, 3104·5 links: excepting a public road which intersects the above-described area: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 56866/17A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. | All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 364 acres, more or less, being Mahia Suburban Sections (Class 2) Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, and part of Section No. 1, and part of Rural Sections Nos. 1, 2, and 3, Mahia, Block V, Mahanga Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by Kaiwaitau Native Reserve 1456·6 links, across a public road 100·5 links, by that road 1110 links, by Maungawhio Lagoon 1300 links, a road reserve 2750 links, and part of Section No. 1 805 links; towards the east generally by parts of Rural Sections Nos. 1, 2, and 3, Mahia, 5586·1 links; towards the south generally by Section No. 1 2345·6 links, a public road 100 and 3142·1 links, and Section No. 29 888·9 links; and towards the west generally by a public road 2795·2 links, across the said road and by Reserve No. 28 to a creek 201·8 links, by the said creek 1100 links, and a public road 2727·8 links to the place of commencement: excluding the public road which intersects the above-described area: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 56866/17D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green. |
