NOTE.—The weather during the month has been dry, while northerly winds have prevailed. Total bright sunshine, 279 hours 31 minutes; and one sunless day. Earth temperatures during the month rose 5° at 1 ft., and 2° at 3 ft.; the mean at the former being 62·8°, and 61·1° at the latter depth. Mean dew-point, 52·8°; mean elastic force of vapour, 0·400 inches; mean relative humidity, 72 per cent.
