Regulations for Deer-shooting, Wanganui.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals
Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said
Act”), I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Isling-
ton, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-
shooting season in the Wanganui Acclimatization District,
comprising the Counties of Wanganui and Waitotara, and
the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of
license and the fee payable therefor.
REGULATIONS.
- FALLOW-DEER bucks may be taken or killed within the
Wanganui Acclimatization District from the 1st day of
April, 1911, to the 15th day of May, 1911, both days in-
clusive. - Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the
Chief Postmaster at Wanganui on payment of a license fee
of £1, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and
subject to the said Act and these regulations. The number
of such licenses shall not exceed thirty: Provided that not
more than one such license shall be issued to the same
person. - No licensee shall take or kill more than two bucks,
and no buck shall be killed carrying antlers with less than
four points. - No doe or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext
whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accom-
pany either himself or any attendant he may have with
him. - The licensee must give notice to the said Chief Post-
master of the date on which it is his intention to stalk
deer; such notice to be posted, or delivered, or telegraphed
three clear days before such date. - Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing
any person to sell any deer or portion thereof. - Any person committing a breach of any of these regu-
lations shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceed-
ing £20.

Land temporarily reserved for the Conservation and
Utilization of Bush or Timber in the Auckland Land
District.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first
section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been
surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwith-
standing that the same may be then held under pastoral
license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required
for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder,
Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby
temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland
Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written,
for the conservation and utilization of bush or timber.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 200 acres 1 rood 12 perches, more or
less, being Section 22, Block V, Aroha Survey District.
Bounded towards the north by Section 20, Block V, Aroha
Survey District, and H.P.L. 158, 3214·6 links; towards the
east by H.P.L. 158 aforesaid and Crown land, 6443·7 links;
towards the south by Crown land, 3002·2 links; and
towards the west by the abutment of a public road and
Section 18, Block V, Aroha Survey District, 6454 links :
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is
delineated on the plan marked L. 5480/1, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and
thereon edged red.

this sixteenth day of February, one thousand
nine hundred and eleven.

Notifying Land in Southland Land District for Sale by
Public Auction.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section
of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder,
Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zea-
land, do hereby appoint Thursday, the twenty-third day of
March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, as the time
at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be
sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which
the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said
Schedule hereto.
