Validating the Publication of the Notice of the Deposit of the Special Roll in connection with a Loan of £1,850 raised by the Waipipi Road Board.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of February, 1911.

His Excellency THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Waipipi Road Board lately proposed to raise, under the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and amendments thereto, a loan of £1,850, for the purpose of forming and metalling and otherwise improving certain roads within the Taurangaruru Special Rating Area of the Waipipi Road District: And whereas the provisions of the said Acts were not strictly complied with, inasmuch as the notice of the deposit of the special roll for public inspection was not properly published as required by the regulations under the said Acts: And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by such irregularity, and it is expedient to validate the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and twenty-one of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby validate the publication of the notice of the deposit of the special roll as aforesaid, and doth hereby declare that the proceedings relative to such loan shall not be called in question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.

Vesting a Municipal Reserve in the Te Kuiti Borough Council.

His Excellency THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved for municipal purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Te Kuiti Borough Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Te Kuiti Borough, in trust, for municipal purposes.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section 17, Te Kuiti Village, situated in Block III, Otanake Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section 15, Te Kuiti Village; towards the south-east by Sections 16 and 18 of the aforesaid village; towards the south-west by Section 19 of the aforesaid village; and towards the north-west by a public road 100 links wide: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5440/11, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Regulations for Deer-shooting, Nelson.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in the Nelson Acclimatization District, comprising the Counties of Waimea, Takaka, and Collingwood, and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.
REGULATIONS.

RED-DEER stags and fallow deer bucks may be taken or killed within the Nelson Acclimatization District from the 25th day of February, 1911, to the 1st day of May, 1911, both days inclusive.

Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Nelson, and the Postmaster at Motueka, on payment of a license fee of £1 1s., in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and these regulations: Provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

No licensee shall take or kill more than six deer in all, whether red-deer stags or fallow-deer bucks; and no red-deer stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than four points, and no fallow-deer buck carrying antlers with less than four points.

No doe, hind, or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.

Any person committing a breach of any of these regulations shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding £20.

Ratahi Lagoon to be a Sanctuary for Imported and Native Game.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Animals Protection Act, and that no imported game or native game shall be taken or killed within the said area.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, being the Ratahi Lagoon, in the Township of Te Puia, Block XVI, Mata Survey District.
