IN accordance with the provisions of the Census and Statistics Act, 1910, the Department of Agriculture collected through the post returns of the areas under crop for threshing only in the various districts for the current season (1911–12), and the following table gives the result of the compilation made therefrom. The figures may be taken as a fairly accurate estimate of the areas under the respective crops.
