George Ward, Minister of Lands, do hereby authorize the
laying-off of Seddon and James Streets, in the Town of
Gollington, Auckland Land District, of a width of not less
than 66 ft. instead of 99 ft.

GULF OF ST. VINCENT.—ENTRANCE TO PORT ADELAIDE
RIVER.
Masters of vessels, pilots, and others are informed that
the white occulting light buoy on the starboard hand
entering the Port River has been moved 80 ft. to the south-
ward, and is now moored 80 ft. from the edge of the
cutting at the outer bar. This buoy at ebb tide swings
about 160 ft. off the southern edge of channel.
This affects Admiralty Charts 1750, 1752, and 2389b.

WITH reference to Notice to Mariners No. 104 of
1910, issued by this Department on the 3rd Octo-
ber last, in regard to dredging in the channel through
the inner mud-bank, the Nelson Harbour Board notifies
that the dredge has been removed from the channel.

by this Department on the 20th ultimo, notice is
hereby given that the revolving light at Cape Maria van
Diemen will be resumed on and after the night of the 17th
January, 1911.

AUCKLAND HARBOUR.—LIGHT ON O’NEILL’S POINT WHARF.

THE Auckland Harbour Board has notified that on and
after the night of Friday, the 6th January, 1911, the
following leading lights will be exhibited from the wharf
at O’Neill’s Point in Auckland Harbour :—
One bright fixed light of 240-candle power in the middle
of the end of the wharf, 17 ft. above high-water mark.
One red fixed light of 240-candle power, 184 ft. inshore
from the bright fixed light mentioned above, and 23 ft.
above high-water mark.

WELLINGTON HARBOUR.—TEMPORARY ELECTRIC ARC LIGHTS
ON DORSET POINT.

Wellington, N.Z., 11th January, 1911.
THE Defence Department has given notice that two
electric arc lamps, each of approximately 250-candle
power, have been erected at the Dorset Point Defences
for drill purposes.
They will be visible seawards at about 11 ft. above the
crest of the battery, and will be lit at intervals from dark
until about 1 a.m. from the 17th January, 1911, to the
4th February, 1911, inclusive.

Varied Notice fixing Closing-hours of Fishmongers’ Shops
in the Borough of Dannevirke under the Shops and
Offices Act.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a
majority of the occupiers of all the fishmongers’
shops in the Borough of Dannevirke, has been forwarded
to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall
be closed in the evening of working-days as follows :
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10 p.m. ;
Saturdays, 11 p.m. : And whereas the Dannevirke
Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such
requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all
the fishmongers’ shops mentioned within the borough :
Now, therefore, I, John Andrew Millar, Minister of
Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices
Act, 1908, do hereby direct that, from and after the 16th
day of January, 1911, all fishmongers’ shops in the Borough
of Dannevirke shall be closed in accordance with such re-
quisition.
The notice gazetted the 2nd February, 1905, fixing the
closing-hours of all shops in the borough is hereby varied
accordingly.

and Boot Shops in the Borough of Carterton under the
Shops and Offices Act.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a
majority of the occupiers of all the shops wherein
is carried on the trade of a seller of clothing, mercery,
millinery, ironmongery, drapery, grocery, stationery, or
boots in the Borough of Carterton, has been forwarded to
me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be
closed in the evening of working-days in each week as
follows : Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at
the hour of 6 in the evening ; Thursday, statutory closing-
day, at the hour of 12.30 o’clock in the afternoon ; and Satur-
day at the hour of 9.30 in the evening during the months
of October, November, December, January, February, and
March ; at the hour of 9 in the evening during the months
of April, May, June, July, August, and September : And
whereas the Carterton Borough Council has certified that
the signatures to such requisition represent, in respect to
each trade, a majority of the occupiers of all the shops
wherein is carried on the trade of a seller of clothing,
mercery, millinery, ironmongery, drapery, grocery, sta-
tionery, or boots in the Borough of Carterton :
