First Column.
Description and Purpose of Original Reserve.
All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 19 perches, more or less, being Section No. 79A, Town of Hector.
Set apart as a reserve for public utility in New Zealand Gazette No. 19, of the 8th March, 1894.
Second Column.
Description of Portion of Reserve the Purpose of which it is intended to change.
All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement one rood, more or less, being part of Section No. 79A, Town of Hector. Bounded towards the north-east by Greenfield Street, 204·2 links; towards the south-east by Pitt Street, 116·9 links; towards the south-west by a line parallel to the north-east boundary, 223·7 links; and towards the north-west by the road along the coast of Tasman Sea: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5923/5, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Intended Purpose.
Site for a post-office.

Opening National Endowment Land in Auckland Land District for Selection.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the national endowment land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Undulating, hilly, and rough land; about 25 acres manuka and fern; balance mixed forest comprising kauri, rimu, totara, matai, rata, tawa, hinau, with heavy undergrowth of punga, nikau, mahoe, tawhero, kiekie, and supplejack. Soil a sandy loam and clay of good quality, on sandstone formation; well watered by Maungatawhiri River and small streams. Situated about nineteen miles from Clevedon—seven miles good metalled road, nine miles rough cart-road, and three miles bridle-track.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Soil of good quality, of a pumice nature, on volcanic-cement formation; well watered. Fronting Puwhenua Road, four miles from Ngawaro Post-office by formed road.
