said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

Part II.
An estate for a term of five years from the 11th day of September, 1908, the residue of which term is vested in William Thomas Quinton, of Wellington, Draper, created by a memorandum of agreement dated the 21st day of August, 1910, made between Joseph Henrys, of Wellington, of the one part, and the said William Thomas Quinton, of Wellington, of the other part, whereby the said Joseph Henrys agreed to lease and the said William Thomas Quinton agreed to take the above-described land for the said term at the rent and upon and subject to the agreements, provisions, and conditions in the said memorandum contained.

THE CLAPHAM GAS LIGHT MANUFACTURING AND AGENCY COMPANY (LIMITED).
HAVING been appointed Liquidator at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the company held on the 31st day of October, 1910, I hereby request the creditors, both secured and unsecured, of the above company to lodge their claims with me forthwith.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
WHAINGAROA HARBOUR BOARD.—RESULT OF POLL.
WE hereby give notice that the following is the result of the poll of ratepayers (taken by way of a referendum) held on the 4th day of November, 1910, over the defined Whaingaroa Harbour Board District of the Raglan County, on the question as to whether the ratepayers were satisfied with the present control of the Whaingaroa Harbour by the Raglan County Council (duly appointed as a Harbour Board under an Order in Council), or as to whether the ratepayers desired that a separate and elective Harbour Board should be constituted by special Act of Parliament.
Total number of valid votes recorded 280, representing properties valued at £208,656.
In favour of present control by Raglan County, 163 votes, representing properties valued at £143,610.
In favour of separate and elective Board, 117 votes, representing properties valued at £65,046.
The decision of the ratepayers is that they are satisfied with the present system of control by Raglan County Council.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of J. D. Cruickshank and Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 4th day of November, 1910, presented to His Honour Sir Robert Stout, K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, by Johnston and Company (Limited), a contributory of the said company. And the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 18th day of November, 1910, at the Supreme Court House, Wellington, at 10.30 a.m., and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that at the annual general meeting of the shareholders in the above-named company held in the Public Hall, at Kakaramea, on Friday, the 7th day of October, 1910, the following special resolution, notice whereof had been duly given to each shareholder, was duly passed:—
“That the Kakaramea Co-operative Dairy Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily.”
That at a special meeting of the shareholders in the above-named company duly convened and held on Monday, the 24th day of October, 1910, in the Town Hall, at Kakaramea aforesaid, for the purpose of confirming the said resolution, the same was duly confirmed; and at the same meeting EDWARD GILSHNAN, of Kakaramea aforesaid, Storekeeper, was duly appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up, and his appointment was duly confirmed.
