Nothing herein contained shall authorize the licensees
to do or cause to be done anything repugnant to or incon-
sistent with any law relating to the Customs, or any regu-
lation of the Minister of Customs, or with any provisions
of the Harbours Act, 1908, or its amendments, or any
regulations made thereunder, and that are now or may
hereafter be in force. -
The ballast of all vessels loading at the said wharf
shall be taken away by the licensees and deposited above
high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved of
by the Minister, or by any person appointed by the Minis-
ter for that purpose. -
The rights, powers, and privileges conferred by or
under this Order in Council shall continue to be in force
for fourteen years from the date hereof, unless in the
meantime such rights, powers, and privileges shall be
altered, modified, or revoked by competent authority ; and
the licensees shall not assign, charge, or part with any
such right, power, or privilege without the previous written
consent of the Minister first obtained. -
The said rights, powers, and privileges may be at
any time resumed by the Governor, without payment of
any compensation whatever, on giving to the licensees three
calendar months' previous notice in writing. Any such
notice shall be sufficient if given by the Minister, and
delivered at or posted to the last known address of the
licensees in New Zealand. -
The licensees shall be liable for any injury which the
said wharf may cause any vessel or boat to sustain through
any default or neglect on their part. -
In case the licensees or either of them shall—
(1.) Commit or suffer a breach of the conditions here-
inbefore set forth, or any of them ; or
(2.) Fail to erect and complete the wharf within
eighteen months from the date of this Order in
Council; or
(3.) Cease to use or occupy the said wharf for a period
of thirty days ; or
(4.) Become bankrupt, or be in any manner brought
under the operation of any law for the time
being in force relating to bankruptcy ; or
(5.) Fail to pay the sums specified in clause three of
these conditions,
then and in either of the said cases this Order in Council,
and every right, power, or privilege, may be revoked and
determined by the Governor in Council, without any notice
to the licensees or other proceeding whatsoever ; the publi-
cation in the New Zealand Gazette of an Order in Council
containing such revocation shall be sufficient notice to the
licensees, and to all persons concerned or interested, that
this Order in Council, and the license, rights, and privi-
leges thereby granted and conferred, have been revoked and
determined. -
The erection of the wharf shall be sufficient evidence
of the acceptance by the licensees of the terms and condi-
tions of this Order in Council.

Extension of Time for making Financial Adjustments,
Borough of Wanganui.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second
day of November, 1910.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the agreements for financial and other
adjustments required consequent upon the altera-
tion of boundaries of the Borough of Wanganui made by
Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of March,
one thousand nine hundred and ten, and published in the
Gazette of the fourteenth day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and ten, have not been made within the three
calendar months from the date of the alteration of the
boundaries of the said Borough of Wanganui, as pre-
scribed by clause one of the regulations made under the
Municipal Corporations Act, 1900, and published in the
Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of September, one thou-
sand nine hundred and two:
And whereas it is expedient to extend the time pre-
scribed by the said regulations for making the said agree-
ments as hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal
Corporations Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doith hereby amend the aforesaid regulation, but in re-
spect only of the agreements for financial and other
adjustments required to be made consequent upon the
aforesaid alteration of the boundaries of the Borough of
Wanganui; and doth hereby prescribe that such agreements
shall be made within nine calendar months from the date
of the alteration of the boundaries of the Borough of
Wanganui as aforesaid.

Order in Council fixing Date of Payment of Land-tax.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second
day of November, 1910.
Present :
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority
vested in him under the Land and Income Assessment
Act, 1908, and the Land-tax and Income-tax Act, 1910,
His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order
and determine that the respective duties leviable under
the said Acts by way of land-tax and of further graduated
land-tax shall be paid in one sum on Thursday, the first
day of December, one thousand nine hundred and ten:
And in further pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authority aforesaid, and with the like advice and con-
sent as aforesaid, His Excellency the Governor doth also
determine that the place where the said duties of land-
tax shall be payable shall be the office of the Commissioner
of Taxes, at the Government Buildings, Wellington, and
that notice to the foregoing effect shall be given by the
said Commissioner accordingly.

Declaring Road-lines through Land in the Ngatapa Settlement
to be closed.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS a report has been received from the Sur-
veyor-General from which it appears that the roads
described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused.
and that the said roads intersect land acquired under the
Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and are not suitable for the
subdivision of such land:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron
Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and in exercise of section eighty of the said
Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anyway
enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close
the roads hereinafter described, and I do hereby declare
that the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the
said Act.
