Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 48.

THE Maori Land Board for the Waikato-Maniopoto Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Rangitoto Tuhua No. 25 No. 1b Section 2 Block (1,240 acres 1 rood 25 perches) will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at the Board’s office, in the Magistrate’s Courthouse, at Te Kuiti, on Friday, the 4th day of November, 1910, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed alternative resolutions :—

“(a.) That the said land be leased to George Panton Finlay, of Te Kuiti, solicitor, for a term of forty-two years, at a yearly rental of 2s. per acre for the first twenty-one years, and 4s. per acre for the balance of the term; the lease to contain provision for payment of compensation for improvements up to £2 per acre.

“(b.) That the said land be leased to John Gray, of Mangapeehi, storekeeper, for a term of fifty years, at a yearly rental of 1s. 9d. per acre for the first twenty years, 3s. per acre for the next fifteen years, and 4s. per acre for the balance of the term; the lease to contain no provision for payment of compensation for improvements.”
