Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 48.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Ohuia No. 1 Block will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Wairoa, on Thursday, the 10th day of November, 1910, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolutions :—
“1. That all that parcel of land, containing 1,074 acres, more or less, known as Ohuia No. 1 Block, excepting there-out all that portion of the said block which is at present under flax, to be leased to William Lyon Pratt Hamlin, of Wairoa, settler, for the term of twenty-one years, with a right of renewal, at a rental equal to 5 per cent. on the Government valuation.
“2. That a lease of Ohuia No. 1 Block be granted to Michael Francis Bourke, of Napier, merchant, for a term of twenty-one years at a rental of not less than 5 per cent. on the Government capital value of the land, with a right of renewal for a further term of twenty-one years at a rental equal to 5 per cent. on the then unimproved Government valuation.
“3. That flax-cutting rights be granted to Michael Francis Bourke over the Ohuia No. 1 Block for a term of twenty-one years, with a right of renewal for a further term of twenty-one years, at royalties to be agreed upon between the said Michael Francis Bourke and the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board.
“4. To lease to David Daniel Reichelt and Alexander Charles Firth, of Wairoa, flax-millers, as tenants in common in equal shares, all that portion of Ohuia No. 1 Block which includes only the swamp, mill-site, and drying paddocks, and comprises about 250 acres, for a term of twenty-one years, at a rental of 5 per cent. on the Government capital valuation.”

REGULATION No. 48.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Waihua No. 1 Block will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Wairoa, on Friday, the 11th day of November, 1910, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution :—
“1. That a portion of Waihua No. 1 Block be vested in the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board, under Part XIV of the Native Land Act, 1909, for sale by public auction.”
Or, in the alternative—
“2. That a portion of Waihua No. 1 Block be offered for sale by public auction to the highest bidder at an upset price of not less than the Government capital valuation.”

“1. That a portion of Waihua No. 2 Block be vested in the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board under Part XIV of the Native Land Act, 1909, for sale by public auction.”
Or, in the alternative—
“2. That a portion of Waihua No. 2 Block be offered for sale by public auction to the highest bidder at an upset price of not less than the Government capital valuation.”

REGULATION No. 48.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Kahaatureia No. 2 Block will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Wairoa, on Monday, the 14th day of November, 1910, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution :—
“1. That the Kahaatureia No. 2 Block be sold to Myra Powdrell at the present Government capital value of the same.”
Or, in the alternative—
“2. That 994 acres of the said land, comprising Subdivisions Nos. 2c, 2d, 2E, and 2F, be sold to Myra Powdrell at the present Government valuation of the same.
“3. That 198 acres, comprising Subdivision No. 2B, be sold to Lucy Powdrell at the present Government valuation thereof.”

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 48.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Nuhaka No. 2D2F and No. 2D2H Blocks will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Wairoa, on Tuesday, the 15th day of November, 1910, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution :—
“1. That a timber lease of the said lands be granted to Frank Sloan and John Sloan for a period of ten years, on the following royalties :—
Totara, 2s. per 100 superficial feet sawn.
Rimu, 1s. per 100 superficial feet sawn.
Matai, 1s. per 100 superficial feet sawn.
Other milling-timber, 6d. per 100 superficial feet sawn.
All firewood, 1s. per cord.
House-blocks, 1d. per lineal foot.
Posts, 5s. per 100.
Seconds and scrap sawn timber to bear half royalty rates.”

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Tutuotekaha No. 1B Block will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Wairoa, on Tuesday, the 15th day of November, 1910, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution :—
“ That a timber lease of the said lands be granted to Frank Sloan and John Sloan for a period of ten years, on the following royalties :—
Totara, 1s. 6d. per 100 superficial feet sawn.
Rimu, 9d. per 100 superficial feet sawn.
Matai, 9d. per 100 superficial feet sawn.
Other milling-timber, 4d. per 100 superficial feet sawn.
All firewood, 9d. per cord.
Battens, 9d. per 100.
House-blocks, 5s. per 100 lineal feet.
Posts, 5s. per 100.”
