Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Waipiro No. 6 or Te Puia Block will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Waipiro, on Saturday, the 29th day of October, 1910, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution :—
“That the offer made by the Crown to purchase the land at the Government valuation (£4 10s. per acre) shall be accepted.”

In the matter of the Paretao Block, and of an application by Metapere Ropata for leave to appeal from decision of the Native Land Court appointing successors to the interest of Hera Tuhangahanga, deceased.
NOTICE is hereby given that, at the request of the applicant and by leave of the Chief Judge, the above-mentioned application has been withdrawn.

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
WELLINGTON DISTRICT.
In the matter of Rakautatahi No. 4, Otawhao A No. 3, and Otawhao A No. 5 Blocks, and of an application by Matiu Ahipene under section 39 of the Native Land Court Act, 1894, for amendment of the three several orders of the Court appointing successors to the interests of Irimana Tuhua, deceased, in the above-mentioned lands.
WHEREAS the said application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report : And whereas such inquiry was held at Hastings on the 9th day of August, 1910, before Michael Gilfedder, Esquire, a Judge of the Court : And whereas as the result of such inquiry the Court has reported that an error has been made in the said orders, and that certain persons entitled to succeed to the interests of the said Irimana Tuhua have been omitted therefrom :
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in me as Chief Judge of the said Court by section 39 aforesaid, and by section 433 of the Native Land Act, 1909, I hereby order that the said orders of the Court appointing successors to the interests of Irimana Tuhua, deceased, in the said Rakautatahi No. 4, Otawhao A No. 3, and Otawhao A No. 5 Blocks be amended as follows, that is to say : That the undermentioned persons be appointed successors to the said interests in the proportions set out after the name of each of them respectively :—
- Tanguru Tuhua … … 1/3 share.
- Anaru Tuhua … … 1/6 ,,
- Ema Tuhua … … 1/6 ,,
- Matiu Ahipene … … 1/6 ,,
- Hoko Ahipene … … 1/6 ,,

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
WANGANUI DISTRICT.
In the matter of an application under section 39 of the Native Land Court Act, 1894, by Taitoko Hiriako for inclusion of his name amongst the list of successors to the interests of the following deceased persons in Reureu Nos. 2 and 3 Blocks, Te Otimi Ngarara, deceased, Kahuwaero te Otimi, deceased, Ngapiki te Otimi, deceased, Te Retimana, deceased, and Rora Tahana, deceased, the orders in respect of the interests of Kahuwaero te Otimi, deceased, having been made by the Native Land Court on the 21st day of November, 1905, and in respect of the others on the 28th day of November, 1902.
WHEREAS the above application has been referred to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been duly reported upon : And whereas it is found that the said orders were made in error :
Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said errors or mistakes, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me by section 39 aforesaid, and by section 433 of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is hereby ordered that the said succession orders be and the same are hereby cancelled.
As witness my hand and the seal of the Court, this 24th day of September, 1910.

NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Tokerau District Maori Land Board will be held at Whangarei on Tuesday, the 18th day of October, 1910, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the several matters mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written, and such other matters as may be lawfully brought before it.
It is hereby notified, for the general information of parties, that, unless reason is shown to the contrary, the Board will dismiss, on the ground of non-prosecution, any of the applications hereinafter referred to as “Adjourned Applications” which are not brought on for consideration at the meeting.
