[NOTE.—The name of the former proprietor is given in brackets; the date is that of registration.]

NO. 26488.—Edward Ernest Burgess, of 99 Queen Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Fuse-manufacturer. Blasting-fumes neutralizer. (W. S. Bayston—W. Burgess.) 9th September, 1910.

Notice of Request to amend Specification.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 16th September, 1910.

REQUEST for leave to amend the undermentioned application for Letters Patent has been received, and is open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time from one month from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the amendments. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

No. 27739.—H. M. Levinge, dumb-waiter. (Advertised in Supplement to New Zealand Gazette, No. 66, of the 30th June, 1910.)

The nature of the proposed amendments is as follows:—
(1.) To insert the words “or rails” after “wire rope,” line 5, page 2.
(2.) To insert the word “in” after “drawing,” line 9, page 2, and to insert the words “Figure 1” after “which,” line 9, page 2.
(3.) After the word “elevation,” line 10, page 2, to insert the words “and Figure 2 a view of the trolley or carriage and rails employed in one form of my invention. The essential feature of my invention is an aerial tramway for conveying meals to diners, and it is obvious that, although I prefer to suspend it from the ceiling as shown, conditions may render it advisable to adopt some other mode of suspension.”
(4.) After the paragraph ending “as desired,” line 26, page 2, to insert the following: “in the alternative construction a is the suspender fastened to ceiling for supporting rails b on which the trolleys or wheels c mounted on a suitable frame d run. The tray is hung from eyelet e by suitable means.”
(5.) To add another figure to the drawings.

The applicant states: “My reasons for making this amendment are as follow—to describe more particularly the means for carrying my invention into effect.”

J. C. LEWIS,
Registrar.
