to be the Little River Domain Board, having, subject to
the said Act, control of the lands described in the Sche-
dule hereto, which lands are a public domain, and shall
be called the Little River Domain; and also doth hereby
appoint Saturday, the twenty-second day of October, one
thousand nine hundred and ten, at seven o’clock p.m., as
the time when, and the Library, Little River, as the place
where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

LITTLE RIVER DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, contain-
ing by admeasurement 62 acres 2 roods, more or less,
being Reserve No. 1649, Block XIII, Pigeon Bay Survey
District. Bounded towards the north-east by Reserve
No. 935; towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 19397
and 31132; towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 31132
and 30378; towards the north-west, again towards the
south-west, and again towards the south-east by Section
No. 20137; again towards the south-west by a public road;
and again towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 1, 35,
and 9.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 6 perches, more
or less, being Reserve No. 3729 (formerly Lot No. 32 of the
Morice Settlement), situated in Block XIII, Pigeon Bay
Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by the
Valley Road; towards the north-east by Bolton Street,
Little River Township; towards the south-east by the
road and railway reserve; and towards the south-west by
Fleet Street of the said township.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and
S. 26960A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods 124 perches,
more or less, being part of Section No. 4, Block III, of
Reserve 887, situated in Blocks II, Akaroa, and XIII,
Pigeon Bay Survey Districts, and being the whole of the
land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 253, folio 234,
Canterbury.

Exempting Portion of Hazeldean Road, in the City of
Christchurch, from the Provisions of Section 117 of
the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth
day of September, 1910.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred
and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it
is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply
in any case where the local authority having control of a
road or street by resolution declares that the provisions
thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or
any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved
by the Governor in Council:

And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred
and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is pro-
vided that such approval may be either absolute or subject
to such conditions as the Governor by Order in Council
thinks fits to impose:

And whereas the Christchurch City Council, the local
authority having control of the street known as Hazeldean
Road, described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution
declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred
and seventeen should not apply to a portion of the said
street:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution
should be approved:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise
of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act,
and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
approve of the said resolution.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of street in the City of Christchurch,
known as Hazeldean Road, commencing at its junction
with Park Road, and running in an easterly direction
across Selwyn Street, past Braddon Street to its junction
with Antigua Street, a distance of 39 chains, more or less;
as the said portion of street is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 27353, deposited in the office
of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the
Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Incorporating the Komata South Land Settlement
Association.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth
day of September, 1910.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section seven of the Land Settlement
Finance Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the
said Act”), it is provided that as soon as practicable after
the complete execution of any agreement under the said
Act application in the prescribed form shall be made to
the Governor, by or on behalf of the purchasers, for an
Order in Council confirming the agreement in pursuance
of the said Act: And whereas by sections eight and nine
of the said Act it is further provided that upon receipt of
such application the Minister of Finance shall refer the
same, together with the agreement, to the Board of Land
Purchase Commissioners for its report thereon, and if the
Board reports that the agreement is fit and proper to be
so confirmed the Governor may, if he thinks fit, by Order
in Council confirm the agreement accordingly: And
whereas under the provisions of the said Act an agreement
bearing date the eighteenth day of July, one thousand nine
hundred and ten, has been entered into between Elizabeth
Anne Hubbard, John Hubbard, Arthur Charles Hubbard,
and Percy Richard Hubbard, vendors, of the one part, and
Lewis Houlahan, Arthur Charles Hubbard, Percy Richard
Hubbard, Herbert Widdup, and Hugh Poland, purchasers,
of the other part, for the purchase of the land therein
described, and the said purchasers therein agreed to
become incorporated as the Komata South Land Settlement
Association: And whereas application has been made in
the prescribed form for the issue of an Order in Council
confirming the said agreement: And whereas the said
application, together with the said agreement, was referred
to the Board of Land Purchase Commissioners for its
report, and the Board has reported that the sum of four
hundred pounds is reasonably required to be expended by
the said association as roading-money in order to form
and metal the roads dedicated by the association, and to
construct bridges, culverts, and other requisite appurten-
ances to these roads, and that the said agreement is fit and
proper to be so confirmed:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, His
Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confirm the said
agreement dated the eighteenth day of July, one thousand
nine hundred and ten, and doth hereby direct that the sum
of four hundred pounds, as determined by the report of
the Board of Land Purchase Commissioners, shall be
expended by the said association as roading-money.
