IN accordance with section 24 of the Education Act, 1908, it is hereby notified that the following persons have been duly elected members of the Education Board of the District of Taranaki :—

North Ward—
HAROLD TRIMBLE.

East Ward—
WILLIAM MCLAUGHLIN KENNEDY.

West Ward—
GEORGE A. ADLAM.

The number of valid votes recorded for the candidates in the contested election was,—

East Ward—
David Lyon Abbott Astbury ... ... 30
William McLaughlin Kennedy ... ... 125
Number of invalid votes, 2.

North Ward—
Harold Trimble was returned unopposed.

West Ward—
George A. Adlam was returned unopposed.

Education Board of the District of Wanganui.—Election of Members.

IT is hereby publicly notified that for the three vacancies caused by the annual retirement of one member each for the three wards—northern, central, and southern—the following nominations were received :—

Northern Ward—
Patrick O’Dea.

Central Ward—
David Henry Guthrie.

Southern Ward—
Alfred Fraser.

There being not more than one nomination for the election in respect of any ward, I hereby declare PATRICK O’DEA, DAVID HENRY GUTHRIE, and ALFRED FRASER duly elected for the Northern, Central, and Southern Wards respectively.

THE following is the result of the voting for the election of members to the Wellington Education Board :—

Wellington City Ward—

Valid votes, 100; invalid votes, 0.

Hutt-Horowhenua Ward—
Field, William Hughes ... ... 213
Thomson, Alexander ... ... 34
Valid votes, 247; invalid votes, 1.

Wairarapa Ward—
For the representation of the Wairarapa Ward Alexander Wilson Hogg was the only candidate nominated.

I therefore declare ROBERT LEE, WILLIAM HUGHES FIELD, and ALEXANDER WILSON HOGG to have been duly elected members of the Wellington Education Board as representatives of the Wellington City Ward, Hutt-Horowhenua Ward, and Wairarapa Ward respectively.

IN accordance with section 24 of the Education Act, 1908, I hereby declare the following persons to be duly elected members of the Hawke’s Bay Education Board :—

The number of valid votes recorded in favour of the several candidates of the contested election of the Eastern Ward was,—

Extraordinary Vacancy.

It is hereby further notified that, in accordance with section 24 of the Education Act, 1908,

JAMES FULTON

has been elected a member of the Education Board for the West Ward of the District of Marlborough, to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by the retirement of John Smith.

For the Eastern Ward—

For the Western Ward—
KETTLE, WILLIAM ROBERT.

For the above-named wards respectively the gentlemen declared elected were the only candidates nominated.
