Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, section nine of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

THE parcels of land mentioned hereunder :—

All in the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 18060, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured blue and yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Allocating Land reserved for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at Frankton, in the Frankton Town District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land reserved for the purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes : And whereas such land is situated in the Frankton Town District, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation :

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road :

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Frankton Town Board, and shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land in the Auckland Land District, containing 21·7 perches, more or less, being a portion of railway reserve, in the Parish of Te Rapa, situated in Block I, Hamilton Survey District, near Frankton Junction, on the Auckland-Marton Railway, and being bounded as follows : On the east by the western boundary of Section 8, Te Rapa Parish, a distance of 200 links ; on the south-west by the south-western boundary of the railway reserve, a distance of 118·1 links ; on the west by a line bearing 11° 14′, a distance of 70·9 links ; and on the north-west by a line bearing 67° 44′, a distance of 119·9 links : as the said piece of land is more particularly shown coloured blue on the plan marked W.R. 17228, in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land reserved for the purposes of the Stratford-Ongarue Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Public Works that such land is not required for railway purposes :

And whereas such land is situated in the Ohura County, the local authority of which county has assented to the issue of this Proclamation :

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently control and maintain the said road :

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become a road ; and that the said road shall be under the control of the Ohura County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten.
