NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership here-
before existing between WILLIAM HOPKINS, of
Omona, Farmer, and JOHN RAUCH, of Hawera, Engineer,
as Farmers, under the style of “Rauch and Hopkins,” has
been dissolved from the 1st day of June, 1910, and all
accounts owing by and all accounts due to the above firm
will be paid and received by the said William Hopkins,
whose receipt will be a sufficient discharge.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908; and also of
the taking under the said Act by the Gisborne Borough
Council of certain lands for the purposes hereinafter
mentioned.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors,
and burgesses of the Borough of Gisborne, for and
on behalf of the Gisborne Borough Council, under the pro-
visions of the Public Works Act, 1908, intend to take, by
Proclamation, the following lands, viz. :

All those pieces or parcels of land, situate in the Dis-
trict of Poverty Bay, containing by admeasurement in the
aggregate six (6) acres, being parts of Lots Two (2) and
Four (4) of the Tarewauru Block, Patutahi Survey Dis-
trict, Cook County.

A plan of the lands is deposited at the store of Mr.
Joseph Edward Daulton, Manutuke, Te Arai, where the
same may be inspected at all reasonable hours.

The works proposed to be executed upon the said lands
are as follows :—

(1st.) Upon part of Lot numbered Two of the said Tare-
wauru Block, comprising 0a. 0r. 1'4p., a break-pressure
tank.

(2nd.) Upon part of Lot numbered Two of the said Tare-
wauru Block, comprising 0a. 1r. 5'2p., a settling-tank.

(3rd.) Upon part of Lot numbered Four of the said
Tarewauru Block, comprising 0a. 0r. 14'9p., a pumping-
station.

(4th.) Upon part of Lot numbered Four of the said Tare-
wauru Block, comprising 5a. 2r. 18'5p., a caretaker’s resi-
dence and storage yards.

All the above works are in connection with the Gisborne
and Te Arai Waterworks. The description of the land is
as shown on the said plan.

All persons having any objections to the execution of
such works or to the taking of such lands are hereby re-
quired to send such objections, in writing, to the Gisborne
Borough Council, on or before the 10th day of August,
1910.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hereto-
fore subsisting between FRANK SLOAN, JOHN SLOAN,
and FREDERICK SYDNEY RAMLOSE, carrying on business as
Sawmillers, at Mangaone, in the County of Wairoa, under
the style or firm of “Sloan and Ramlose,” has been dis-
solved as from the tenth day of February, one thousand
nine hundred and ten.

A DIVIDEND of 20s. in the pound is now payable on
all admitted claims against the above-named com-
pany.

All persons indebted to the above-named company are
hereby notified that all amounts owing to the company
must be paid on or before 9th July, 1910, and that after
that date all unpaid amounts will be sued for without
further notice.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the
matter of the Bird Tyre Company (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the
above-named company, which is being voluntarily
wound up, are required, on or before the 28th day of July,
1910, being the date fixed for that purpose, to send their
names and addresses, and the particulars of their debts
and claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors
(if any) to the undersigned, the Liquidator of the said
company, at his office, No. 21 Ridgway Street, Wanganui ;
and, if so required by notice in writing by the said Liqui-
dator, are, by their solicitors, to come in and prove their
said debts or claims at such time and place as shall be
specified in such notice, or, in default thereof, they will be
excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before
such debts are proved.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.

I, WALTER JOUNNAX, or JOUNAX, of Hawera, in
the Provincial District of Taranaki, in New Zea-
land, Baker, do hereby give notice that I have assumed
and intend henceforth upon all occasions and at all times
to sign and use and be called and known by the surname
of Journeaux, in lieu of and in substitution for my present
surname of Jounnax or Jounax, and that such intended
change or assumption of name is formally declared and
evidenced by deed poll under my hand and seal dated this
day, and intended to be forthwith enrolled in the office of
the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at New Plymouth, in
testimony whereof I do hereby sign and subscribe myself
by such my intended future name.

In the matter of a Bill intituled “An Act to authorise and
empower the Oamaru Harbour Board to effect a com-
promise with the holders of debentures issued under the
provisions of the Oamaru Harbour Board Ordinance
Amendment Act, 1878, and the Harbours Act, 1878, and
to raise a loan for the purpose of carrying into effect the
said compromise and for the purpose of redeeming all
other loans of the said Board.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Oamaru Harbour
Board (hereinafter called “the Board”) intends to
present a petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand
at the session thereof commencing on the 28th day of June,
1910, praying for leave to introduce a Bill intituled as
above, and the Short Title of which is the Oamaru Har-
bour Board Enabling Act, 1910.

The objects of the said Bill are—

  1. To make binding upon the Board and upon all the
    holders of 1,000 debentures of £100 each of the loan of
    £100,000, issued by the Oamaru Harbour Board in the
    year 1879 under the above-mentioned Ordinance and Act,
    an agreement dated the 26th day of April, 1910, made be-
    tween a committee in London representing a majority of
    the holders of the said debentures of the one part and
    the Board of the other part, by which agreement, if the
    holders of not less than 70 per cent. of the said debentures
    should agree thereto, all the holders of such debentures as
    aforesaid are to receive and accept in cash the sum of £47,
    with interest thereon at the rate of £4 per cent. per annum,
    from the 31st day of December, 1909, in payment and dis-
    charge of each £100 debenture.

  2. To authorise the Board to raise a loan of £225,000 for
    the following purposes—namely, (a) to carry into effect the
    said agreement and pay all moneys and interest payable
    thereunder, and (b) to enable the Board to redeem all its
    other loans.

  3. To empower the Board to make and levy as part of
    the security for the said loan of £225,000, and the interest,
    sinking fund, and other annual charges payable in respect
    thereof, an annually recurring special rate not exceeding
    seven-twelfths of a penny in the pound on all rateable
    property in the Oamaru Harbour District.

  4. To make the said loan and annual charges a first
    charge on all the dues, tolls, rents, and other income, and
    on all the lands of the Board and the lands set aside as an
    endowment for the Board by the Oamaru Harbour Board
    Act, 1876, and the rents, issues, and profits of all the afore-
    said lands.

Copies of the said Bill will be deposited at the office of
the Examiner of Standing Orders on or before the 13th
day after the commencement of the session.
