the exception of the present covenant for renewal, the lessee on the execution of such renewed lease
to execute a counterpart thereof. [This clause to be struck out if no right of renewal.]

  1. It is hereby agreed and declared that this lease is made between the parties hereto under
    the provisions of section 257 of the Native Land Act, 1909, and that all the provisions of Part XIV
    of the said Act shall, so far as applicable, apply thereto accordingly whether expressed herein or
    not, and that this lease shall in all respects be so construed as to be consistent with the provisions
    of the said Act.

  2. None of the covenants or powers directed to be implied in leases by section 98 or section 99
    of the Land Transfer Act, 1908, shall be implied herein.
