Change of Name of Locality and Inlet, “West Wanganui” to “West Haven.”

PLUNKET, Governor.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Council of the County of Collingwood has, by resolution adopted at an ordinary meeting thereof, requested that the name of the locality situated in the County of Collingwood and known as “West Wanganui” be altered to “West Haven”:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Designation of Districts Act, 1908,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the locality now known as “West Wanganui” shall be and the same is hereby altered to “West Haven,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such locality accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the inlet of the sea now known as “West Wanganui Inlet” shall be and the same is hereby altered to “West Haven Inlet,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such inlet accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and ten, not being earlier than six months after the first publication thereof in the Gazette.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Appointment of Trustee for Napier Hospital to represent the Taradale Town Board.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and nine of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

ARTHUR SIMMONDS,

to represent the Taradale Town Board, to be a Trustee of the Napier Hospital, to hold office until the election of his successor under the above-named Act or its amendments.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Representation of the Napier Borough on the Hawke’s Bay Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS His Excellency the Governor, by Order in Council on the twenty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seven, did, by virtue of the powers conferred upon him by section six of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act 1885 Amendment Act, 1886,” apportion the representation of contributory local authorities on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards of the Dominion: And whereas it is provided by subsection one of section seven of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1908,” that said members shall be elected by Councils of the boroughs on the fourth Wednesday of November in each year, and shall come into office on the first Wednesday in December ensuing after their election; and, by subsection two of the same section, the members shall hold office for one year or until their successors come into office, but failing election by any Council of any borough, the Governor may appoint a member or members for such borough to hold office until the next yearly election: And whereas the Council of the Borough of Napier have
