Notice respecting Proposed Alteration in Boundaries of Borough of Wanganui.

Wellington, 19th April, 1910.
PURSUANT to section 118 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to him, praying that the said area may be excluded from the County of Wanganui and included in the Borough of Wanganui. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF WANGANUI AND TO BE INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF WANGANUI.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing on the left bank of the Wanganui River at the mouth of the Purua Stream; thence easterly along the right bank of that stream to the eastern boundary of Section No. 44, Block V, Ikitara Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of that section to No. 2 Line Road; thence across that road to the western side of a road opposite the south-eastern corner of the aforesaid Section No. 44; thence along the western and north-western side of that road to the eastern boundary of Te Iwi Roa Block; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of that block to Section No. 29, Block V aforesaid; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of the said Section No. 29, and Manawakowara No. 3 and Kaiate No. 2 Blocks, and the production of the southern boundary of the last-mentioned block to the Wanganui River; and thence northerly along the left bank of the Wanganui River to the place of commencement.

THE MANUREWA ROAD BOARD.
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by “The Counties Act, 1908,” and by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and the various Acts amending the same respectively, and all other Acts and powers whatsoever it in this behalf enabling, the Manurewa Road Board doth hereby make and ordain by special order the by-laws following, to come into force on the 21st day of April, 1910:—
Interpretation.
In these by-laws, except where inconsistent with the context,—
“District” means the Manurewa Road District.
“Board” means the Manurewa Road Board.
“Clerk” means the Clerk for the time being of the Manurewa Road Board.
