At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighth day of April, 1910.

THE HONOURABLE JAMES CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of such domain:
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and ten, the land described in the Schedule hereto was brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act:
And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the said Domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

GEORGE WILLIAM SHEMMINGS,
REGINALD SIGLEY,
ERNEST HASTINGS SNOW, and
GEORGE DANIEL YEARBURY
to be the Rangataua Town Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the said Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten, at seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Rangataua Mission Hall, Rangataua, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
RANGATAUA TOWN DOMAIN, WAIMARINO COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres and 5 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 6 and 7, Block IX, Town of Rangataua. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 14, Block V, Karioi Survey District; towards the north-east by Section No. 5 of Block IX, Town of Rangataua; towards the south-east by Piwari Street; and towards the south-west by Section No. 8 of said Block IX: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5317/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Southland Acclimatisation Society declared a Leasing Authority under “The Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.”

WHEREAS the Southland Acclimatisation Society is a body of persons having power to lease land held in trust reserved or set apart for public purposes, and has requested the Governor in Council to declare it to be a leasing authority within the meaning of “The Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908”:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in compliance with such request, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred by the above-mentioned Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the Southland Acclimatisation Society is a leasing authority within the meaning of “The Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.”

Vesting a Reserve in the Spring Creek River Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighth day of April, 1910.

THE HONOURABLE JAMES CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved for the improvement and protection of the Opawa River:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Spring Creek River Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Spring Creek River Board, in trust, for the improvement and protection of the Opawa River.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 26 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 12, Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District. Bounded towards the north by old course of Opawa River; towards the north-east generally by Section No. 10, Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, and the abutment of a public road; towards the south generally by old course of Opawa River, and by part of Section No. 71, Omaka; and towards the west by the Opawa River, and by Section No. 70, Omaka: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 7292/11, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in the Canterbury Land District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and in the case of any reserve made under the authority of section three hundred and twenty-one of “The Land Act, 1908,” if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more purposes named in the said Class II, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,”
