Coin, gold and silver bullion, jewellery, precious stones, and other valuables; used Russian postage-stamps; and all articles liable to Customs duty, including printed matter, &c., of the nature of merchandise, wholly or partly in Russian, not produced in Russia (except dictionaries); pictures, drawings, or sketches however produced (except oleographs, engravings, prints, or similar reproductions of works of Russian artists, and reproductions of pictures, &c., in books or journals in foreign languages). Books published in Finland and bound or reprinted in foreign countries, and books and forms of a commercial nature (e.g., account-books, cheque-books), are prohibited from transmission to Finland. Articles made of celluloid are destroyed if discovered in the Russian service, and all inadmissible articles are liable to seizure Bound books, pieces of music, maps, or plans are liable to Customs duty. The addresses of letters for Russia should be very plainly written; the name of the town, and of the province in which it is situated, should also be added in English, French, or German. Papers impressed for the use of the blind cannot be sent at printed-paper rates Russia.
