Petition for Incorporation by the Owners of the Puhatikotiko No. 2a1 Block.
IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
GISBORNE DISTRICT.
In the matter of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and its amendments, and of the petition for incorporation by the owners of the Puhatikotiko No. 2a1 Block. At a sitting of the Court held at Gisborne, before Robert Noble Jones, Judge, and Hapi Kiniha, Assessor, on Thursday, the 24th day of February, 1910.
UPON reading the petition for incorporation lodged herein, and upon hearing Harawira te Ua, for the petitioners, and the evidence adduced on their behalf, and the Court being satisfied of the consent of the majority of the owners of the said Puhatikotiko No. 2a1 Block, and that such block can be dealt with to the advantage of the owners thereof by being incorporated as hereinafter appearing, it is ordered that the owners of the said block shall be and the same are hereby constituted a body corporate within the meaning of section 122 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” by the name of “The Proprietors of the Puhatikotiko No. 2a1 Block,” subject to the powers, liabilities, and incidents conferred or imposed by the said Act or any amendments thereof. The said land contains 63 acres, or thereabouts, and is bounded as follows: Towards the north by Puhatikotiko Nos. 3a and 3b2, towards the east by Puhatikotiko No. 2b1, towards the south by Waikohu River, and towards the west by Puhatikotiko No. 2a2.
And it is hereby ordered and directed that a general meeting of the proprietors of the said block shall be held at the Native Land Court House, Gisborne, on Saturday, the 26th day of March, 1910, at the hour of 12 o’clock noon, for the purpose of nominating a committee to administer the said land, and fixing the number of its members.
And it is hereby further ordered that the committee shall have full power to defray the reasonable costs and expenses consequent upon this incorporation or incidental thereto, and that the title to the said land hereby vested in the corporate body above named shall be subject to all existing rights, alienations, encumbrances, and contracts affecting the same or any interest therein.

Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”
IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
GISBORNE DISTRICT.
In the matter of an application by Pene Heihi, under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” for rectification of succession order to Rina Ruku, now deceased, in the Tapuaeroa 1b2 Block, dated the 26th March, 1902.
WHEREAS the above-mentioned application has been referred to the Court for inquiry and report: And whereas the same has been reported upon: And whereas it has been found that an error has been made: And whereas it has been found that Rina Ruku and Rina Matekino were not the one and the same person, as Rina Matekino is not an owner in the above-mentioned block, and that Rina Ruku was not dead at the time the succession order of the 26th March, 1902, was made: Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said error, and in exercise of the powers vested in me by section 39 aforesaid, it is hereby ordered that the succession order made on the 26th March, 1902, to the interest of Rina Ruku, alias Rina Matekino, deceased, is hereby cancelled.
