TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

Tenders should be addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Christchurch, and indorsed on the outside “Tender for Lease of Reserve.” Six months’ rent at the rate offered, together with £1 1s. lease fee, must accompany each tender.

Possession will be given on the 1st day of March, 1911.

The Commissioner of Crown Lands may at any time resume possession of the land comprised in the lease, or any portion thereof, by giving to the lessee twelve months’ notice in writing of his intention so to do.

The lessee shall have no right to compensation either for any improvements that may be placed upon the land or on account of the aforesaid resumption, or for any other cause.

The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the whole or any portion of the land comprised in the lease, except with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.

The land shall be used for grazing purposes only, and shall not be broken up or cropped without the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.

The lessee shall destroy all rabbits on the land, and shall prevent their increase or spread, to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, and sweetbriar on the land comprised in the lease, and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove, or cause to be removed, all gorse, sweetbriar, broom, or other noxious weeds or plants, as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance, free from all deductions whatsoever.

The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the said lease within thirty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is open for selection on renewable lease, and applications will be received at this office up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 23rd day of January, 1911, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908.
Applicants will have to appear personally before the Land Board at the District Lands Office, Auckland, at 10 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, the 26th January, 1911, to answer any questions the Land Board may ask, but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of the district in which he resides.
The ballot for the section, if there is more than one applicant, will be held on Thursday, the 26th January, 1911, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., at the District Lands Office, Auckland.
Preference will be given to landless applicants, and the decision of the Land Board as to which of the applicants are landless shall be final and conclusive.

Altitude, from 500 ft. to 950 ft. above sea-level. Distant about ten miles from Okoroire Railway-station by good formed road; Okoroire Post-office and hotel about seven miles from the section. Undulating to broken agricultural and pastoral land of inferior to very good light loam, on decomposed-rhyolite formation; well watered.
