Land Act, 1908.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
ninth day of November, 1909.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by “The Valuation of Land Act, 1908,”
His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint—

Jemepas Henderson, of Ruatoki,

to be the Deputy of the Valuer-General under and for the
purposes of the said Act, in place of Percy H. E. Barton,
deceased, for the ninth day of November, one thousand nine
hundred and nine.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Canterbury Land District.

WHEREAS by the one hundred-and-twenty-first sec-
tion of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same have been
advertised as open for sale or sale temporarily, notwith-
standing that the same may be then held under pastoral

license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required
for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me
by the one hundred and twenty-first section of “The
Land Act, 1908,” and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said
Executive Council, do hereby reserve and set apart the descriptions
of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 140 acres, more or less, being part of
Rural Section No. 4363 (in red), Block I, Lyndon Survey
District: Bounded towards the north-west by the left bank
of the Hurunui River; towards the north-east by a public
