DIRECTIONS FOR USE.
DISSOLVE one part of EGG PRESERVER in twelve parts of water (boiling water is preferable but not necessary). Place the fresh eggs in a keg, tin, or (for large quantities) iron or cement tanks, and cover them with the preserving liquor. If any evaporation takes place before the eggs are used, add sufficient water to keep the eggs covered; and should they show a tendency to float, place a wooden lid half an inch thick on top to keep them under. When the preserving liquor is prepared, eggs may be laid down in it as they are gathered.
NOTE.—If boiling water is used in making the preservative, the solution must be thoroughly cooled before coming into contact with the eggs.
