Station 170, Tangihanga; thence by a right line to Trig. Station 178, Tutamoe; and thence by a right line to Trig. Station 139, in Block X, Arowhana Survey District; thence towards the north-west by a right line to Arowhana Trig. Station; and thence by a right line running in the direction of Kapua Trig. Station to the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street in the Borough of New Plymouth.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land reserved and taken for the purposes of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Borough of New Plymouth, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said street:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and ninety-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Corporation of the Borough of New Plymouth, and shall be maintained by the said Corporation in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Corporation.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Taranaki, containing 15·2 perches, more or less, being a portion of railway land at New Plymouth, and being portions of Sections 651 and 651A, Town of New Plymouth, and part of the bed of the Huatoki Stream in the said Town of New Plymouth, and being bounded as follows: Commencing at the junction of the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of said Section 651A; thence north-westerly along the south-west boundary of said Section 651A, a distance of 1·91 links; thence north-easterly by a line at a bearing of 68° 43′, a distance of 202·46 links; thence south-easterly by lines bearing 111° 27′, 158° 43′, and 151° 20′ respectively, distances of 33·52 links, 120·39 links, and 18·18 links respectively; thence north-westerly by lines bearing 291° 27′ and 324° 47′ respectively, distances of 90·13 links and 101·4 links respectively; and thence south-westerly by a line at a bearing of 248° 43′, a distance of 137·66 links, to the commencing-point: as the said parcel of land is more particularly shown coloured purple on plan marked W.R. 17432, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington.

Vesting a Water-race in the Waitaki County Council.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and sixty-two of “The Public Works Act, 1908” (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, declare any water-race to be vested in the Corporation of the county in which such water-race is situate; and that, from and after a day to be named in such Proclamation, the water-race therein mentioned shall cease to be vested in His Majesty, and shall become vested as in such Proclamation set forth:
And whereas the water-race described in the Schedule hereto is situated in the County of Waitaki, and the Waitaki County Council has agreed to its being vested in the Corporation of the said county:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained in the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the water-race described in the Schedule hereto shall be vested in the Corporation of the County of Waitaki from and after the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten.
SCHEDULE.
KUROW WATER-RACE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 11 perches, more or less, being part of Kurow River Reserve and a public road, commencing at a point on said river, about one mile from its mouth, a little to the south of survey peg 28, being the south-eastern corner of Section 15A, Kurow Settlement; thence running in a north-westerly direction, intersecting the aforesaid Kurow River Reserve and a public road, for about 350 links in length and about 20 links in width: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Dunedin.
