Notice of Intention to take Land for a Road through Waipapa Block, Block VII, Purua Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road through Waipapa Block, Block VII, Purua Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the said road and of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Whangarei, and is there open for inspection. And notice is also hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister in Charge of Roads Department, Wellington.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

As witness my hand, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Notice of Intention to take Land for a Road in Reserve 157, Block II, Akaroa Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road in Block II, Akaroa Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Little River, and is there open for inspection. And notice is also given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister in Charge of Roads Department, Wellington.

Notice fixing Closing-hours of Chemists’ Shops in the Borough of Taihape under the Shops and Offices Act.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the chemists’ shops in the Borough of Taihape, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: Monday, 8 p.m.; Tuesday, 8 p.m.; Wednesday, 8 p.m.; Thursday (statutory half-holiday), 1 p.m., and open from 7 p.m. till 9 p.m. for the supply of medicine and surgical appliances only; Friday, 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9.30 p.m.: And whereas the Taihape Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all chemists’ shops in the Borough of Taihape:

Now, therefore, I, Alexander Wilson Hogg, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of “The Shops and Offices Act, 1908,” do hereby direct that from and after the 8th day of February, 1909, all chemists’ shops in the Borough of Taihape shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.

Dated at Wellington, this 3rd day of February, 1909.

Notice fixing Closing-hours of Hairdressers’ and Tobacconists’ Shops in the Borough of Taihape under the Shops and Offices Act.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the hairdressers’ and tobacconists’ shops, combined and separately, in the Borough of Taihape, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: Monday, 8 p.m.; Tuesday, 6 p.m.; Wednesday, 8 p.m.; Thursday, 1 p.m.; Friday, 6 p.m.; Saturday, 9.30 p.m.: And whereas the Taihape Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the hairdressers’ and tobacconists’ shops, combined and separately, in the Borough of Taihape:

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in the Avondale Road District, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all shops in the road district shall be closed in the evening of working days as follows: Monday, 6.30 p.m.; Tuesday, 6.30 p.m.; Wednesday, 1 p.m.; Thursday, 6.30 p.m.; Friday, 6.30 p.m.; Saturday, 10 p.m.: And whereas the Avondale Road Board has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in the road district:

Now, therefore, I, Alexander Wilson Hogg, the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of “The Shops and Offices Act, 1908,” do hereby direct that from and after the 8th day of February, 1909, all shops in the Avondale Road District shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in the Howick Township Road District has been forwarded to me, desiring that all shops in the road district shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, at 9 p.m.; Thursday, at 1 p.m.; Friday, at 9 p.m.; Saturday, at 10 p.m.: And whereas the Howick Township Road Board has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in the road district:

Now, therefore, I, Alexander Wilson Hogg, the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of “The Shops and Offices Act, 1908,” do hereby direct that from and after the 8th day of February, 1909, all the shops in the Howick Township Road District shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.
