A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owner of the lands mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Thames and Waikato County Councils, being the local authorities in whose districts the said lands are situated, proclaim as a road the lands in Wharekawa Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road first hereinbefore proclaimed.

All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Native Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Maraetaua 1f Block, Block XIV, Ngamatea Survey District, Wanganui County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twentieth day of January, 1909.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, for the purposes of a road in Maraetaua 1f Block, Block XIV, Ngamatea Survey District:

And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:

And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land, as required by the ninetieth section of “The Public Works Act, 1908”:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the ninetieth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purposes of the said road; and the said land shall vest in His Majesty the King as from the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nine.
