Notices of Requests to amend Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 13th October, 1909.

REQUESTS for leave to amend the undermentioned applications for Letters Patent have been received, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time from one month from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the amendments. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

The nature of the proposed amendments is as follows:

To insert in place of the name “A. B. Herrick,” at present given as that of the inventor, the name “Charles L. Cadle, of 8 Wellesley Avenue, Rochester, New York, United States of America, Mechanical Engineer.”

No. 24272.—W. E. Hughes.—Rail-bonding apparatus. (The Electric Railway Improvement Company—A. B. Herrick.) (Advertised in Supplement to New Zealand Gazette, No. 79, of the 15th October, 1908.) To insert in place of the name “A. B. Herrick,” at present given as that of the inventor, the name “Charles L. Cadle, of 8 Wellesley Avenue, Rochester, New York, United States of America, Mechanical Engineer.”

No. 24273.—W. E. Hughes.—Electrodes for electric welding. (The Electric Railway Improvement Company—A. B. Herrick.) (Advertised in Supplement to New Zealand Gazette, No. 79, of the 15th October, 1908.) To insert in place of the name “A. B. Herrick,” at present given as that of the inventor, the name “William A. Neff, of 6005 Carnegie Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, United States of America, Mechanical Engineer.”

The reason for the above alterations is: The name of A. B. Herrick was in each case wrongly given as that of the inventor.
