tion 241, Block III, Rangitikei Survey District, thence
in an easterly direction through said section, along boundary
Section 241, to the Main Trunk line, thence in a northerly
direction along the railway line to Kawhatau
Stream (oil course near mouth) to north-west corner of
Section 236, thence in an easterly direction to the
to the Rangitikei River, and thence by said river to point
of commencement. The total sum of the loan shall be an
annuity recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every
year. The total sum of the loan shall be an annuity for
forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest
at 4 per centum per annum on the amount borrowed.
I, Robert Kirkpatrick Simpson, Chairman of the Rangi
tikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above pre
mises have been taken into consideration at a special meeting of
said Rangitikei County Council held on the 4th day of Septem
ber, 1909, and that the foregoing special order was made by the
said Rangitikei County Council on the 2nd day of
October, 1909.

Council, is published in accordance with the pro
visions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908."

WAIAPU COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
Made on the 26th day of April, 1909; confirmed on the
2nd day of June, 1909.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908," the Waiapu
County Council thereby resolves as follows: That for the
purposes of providing the interest and other charges on a loan
of £2,000, authorised to be raised by the Waiapu County
Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction
of a traffic-bridge over the Mata River at Puhatikura, the said
Waiapu County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 4d. in the pound on a uniform scale upon all the rate
able property of the Mata Special Loan District, comprising
the whole of the Mata Road Board area. And that such
special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of July in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is
fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 5 per cent. per
annum.

Special Orders.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following special orders
were passed at a special meeting of the Woodville County
Council held on the 2nd day of June, 1909, and the 7th day of Sep
tember, 1909:—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
it in that behalf by "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908,"
and by virtue of a Warrant issued under the hand of His
Excellency the Governor, on the 20th day of April, 1906, "The
Public Works Act, 1908," dated the 19th day of April, 1906,
and by virtue of a Warrant issued under the hand of His
Excellency the Governor, on the 20th day of April, 1906, "The
Public Works Act, 1908,"
and by "The Woodville County Council Loan Act, 1905,"
That, for the purpose of providing the Woodville County
Council's share of the cost of erecting the bridge known as
Monteith's Bridge, and providing approaches to the Monteith's
Bridge, the said Woodville County Council hereby authorises
the raising of a loan of £1,000, to be repaid in forty-one years.

near Ashhurst, known as the Lower Gorge Bridge, the said

rate of 4d. in the pound, upon all rateable property of the
rateable property within the boundaries of the Woodville County;
and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of October in each and every year during the
currency of such year, being a period of forty-one years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.
That the rate of interest shall be 4 per centum per annum.
That the cost of raising such loan and the first year's in
terest thereon shall be paid out of the loan.
