NOTICE is hereby given that the NORTHERN ASSURANCE COMPANY (LIMITED), a company duly registered under the English Companies Acts, 1862 to 1907 (heretofore carrying on business under the name of the Northern Assurance Company), proposes to carry on its business in the Provin- cial District of Canterbury. The office of the said company is situated at the offices of Messrs. Harman and Stevens (Limited), at No. 220 Hereford Street, in the City of Christchurch, where legal process of any kind may be served upon the said company and notices of any kind may be addressed or delivered.

GREYMOUTH BRICK COMPANY (LIMITED).
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company are requested, on or before the 15th October, to send in particulars of their debts or claims to the undersigned, and, if so required by further notice in writing from the undersigned, are to come in and prove the same at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice. All debts and claims not sent in or proved in accordance herewith will be excluded from the benefits of any distribution of assets made before such debts or claims are sent in or proved.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between CHARLES GRAHAM ALCORN, HERMAN GEORGE TANKERSLEY DAVIS, and another, in the business of Clothiers, Tailors, and Costumiers, carried on at Christchurch and elsewhere in New Zealand, under the style or firm of “George Davis,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 24th day of June, 1909.
The business will in future be carried on by the said Herman George Tankersley Davis and another on their own account, under the style of “George Davis,” who will collect all debts and discharge all liabilities of the partnership.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1903”; and in the matter of the Imperial Cash Register Company (Limited). An extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened, and held at the registered office of the company in Woodward Street, Wellington, on the 27th day of August, 1909, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:
“That it having been proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, it is hereby resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily.”
Mr. E. R. Dymock was appointed Liquidator of the company.

In the matter of Te Hautu (Limited).
By an entry in the minute-book of the above-named company, signed by more than three-fourths of the members of the company, holding in the aggregate more than three-fourths of the shares in the capital of the company, and dated the 9th day of September, 1909, the following resolution has effect as an extraordinary resolution of the company:
Resolved that it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up same, and that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions in that behalf of “The Companies Act, 1908”; and that Mr. R. M. Watson, of Wellington, Solicitor, be appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up, without remuneration.
