Additional Land near Ngahauranga taken for the Purposes of the Wellington–Napier Railway, and for a Road in connection therewith.

A P R O C L A M A T I O N.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Wellington–Napier Railway to take further land near Ngahauranga, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway, and to take land for a road in connection therewith:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.


SCHEDULE.

The parcels of land mentioned hereunder:—

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road near Greenlane.

A P R O C L A M A T I O N.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Kaipara–Waikato Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Remuera Road District, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and ninety-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Remuera Road Board, and shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing 1 rood 2·4 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 20 in Allotments 6 and 7 of Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, situated in Block I, Otahuhu Survey District, and being bounded as follows: On the south-west by the north-east side of Woodbine Avenue, a distance of 100 links; on the south-east by the south-east side of said Lot 20, a distance of 256·7 links; on the east by a line bearing 178° 7′, a distance of 26·5 links; on the north-east by a line bearing 126° 12′, a distance of 61 links; on the north by a line bearing 88° 51′, a distance of 30·2 links; and on the north-west by a line bearing 42° 20′, a distance of 246·5 links.

Also all that parcel of land in the said land district, containing 1 rood 17·2 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 6 of Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, situated in Block I, Otahuhu Survey District, and being bounded as follows: On the north by the northern boundary of the railway land, a distance of 372 links; on the south-east by the north-west side of Graham Street, a distance of 116·3 links; on the south by lines bearing 277° 15′ and 275° 26′ respectively, distances of 185 links and 95 links respectively; on the south-west by a line bearing 127° 48′, a distance of 60·8 links; on the west by a line bearing 359° 20′, a distance of 30·1 links; and on the north-west by the north-western boundary of the railway land, a distance of 49·5 links.

As the said parcels of land are delineated on the plan marked W.R. 17047, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.

A P R O C L A M A T I O N.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owners and mortgagee of the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Moutere Road Board, the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Motueka Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road described in the First Schedule hereto.
