No. 24443.—22nd May, 1907.—WILLIAM JAMES ROBERTSON, of Grey Lynn, Auckland, New Zealand. Improvements in brush-making machinery.*
Extract from Specification.—The means devised have been designed specially for use in conjunction with that class of bunching-apparatus in which two members are brought together upon opposite sides of the layer, each of which members is provided with teeth projecting from it and divided from each other by transverse semicircular depressions. These teeth, when the members are brought together, engage with each other so that the semicircular depressions upon the one member coincide with those on the other, and thereby form circular moulds into which the fibre is caused to enter and then to be pressed into bunches by the pressure thereof.
