Order dismissing Application under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, AUCKLAND DISTRICT.

In the matter of an application, under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” by Moetu Falkiner to the Chief Judge of the said Court to have her name included in the title to the Waiwhariki Block.

IT is hereby notified that the application of Moetu Falkiner, under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” to have her name included in the title to the Waiwhariki Block, has been dismissed.

As witness my hand, this 25th day of August, 1909.

Order under Section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, WELLINGTON DISTRICT.

In the matter of an application by Maata Huikirangi, under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” to amend the order of the Court, dated the 28th day of September, 1908, appointing Hoani Mahuika successor to the interest of Ani Patene, deceased, in Kawatiri Town Section 3N, Westport.

WHEREAS the above-mentioned application has been referred to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been duly reported upon: And whereas by error Hoani Mahuika was appointed sole successor to Ani Patene, deceased: Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said error, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the succession order above mentioned is hereby amended by cancelling the name of Hoani Mahuika therein, and substituting in lieu thereof the name of Maata Huikirangi as sole successor to Ani Patene, deceased.

As witness my hand, this 24th day of August, 1909.

Order for Incorporation of the Owners of the Waikatea Block.

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, GISBORNE DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and its amendments, and of the petition for incorporation by the owners of the Waikatea Block. At a sitting of the Court held at Gisborne, before Robert Noble Jones, Esquire, Judge, and Hapi Kiniha, Assessor, on Thursday, the 19th day of August, 1909.

UPON reading the petition for incorporation lodged herein, and upon hearing V. Barker, solicitor for the petitioners, and the evidence adduced on their behalf, and the Court being satisfied of the consent of the majority of the owners of the said Waikatea Block, and that such block can be dealt with to the advantage of the owners thereof by being incorporated as hereinafter appearing, it is ordered that the owners whose names are set out in the Schedule hereunder written shall be and the same are hereby constituted a body corporate within the meaning of section 122 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” by the name of “The Proprietors of the Waikatea Block,” subject to the powers, liabilities, and incidents conferred or imposed by the said Act or any amendments thereof. The said land contains 100 acres 2 roods 24 perches or thereabouts, and is bounded as follows: Towards the north by Section 1, Block XIX, Tuahu Survey District; towards the east by Section 1, Block XIX, Tuahu Survey District, and road; and towards the south by Section 1, Block XIX, Tuahu Survey District, and road; and towards the west by Section 1, Block XIX, Tuahu Survey District.

And it is hereby ordered and directed that a general meeting of the proprietors of the said block shall be held at Frasertown (Te Mira), on Saturday, the 25th day of September 1909, at the hour of 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of nominating a committee to administer the said land, and fixing the number of its members.

And it is hereby further ordered that the committee shall have full power to defray the reasonable costs and expenses consequent upon this incorporation or incidental thereto, and that the title to the said land hereby vested in the corporate body above named shall be subject to all existing rights, alienations, encumbrances, and contracts affecting the same or any interest therein.

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, GISBORNE DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and its amendments, and of the petition for incorporation by the owners of the Orewha Block. At a sitting of the Court held at Gisborne, before Robert Noble Jones, Esquire, Judge, and Hapi Kiniha, Assessor, on Thursday, the 19th day of August, 1909.

UPON reading the petition for incorporation lodged herein, and upon hearing V. Barker, solicitor for the petitioners, and the evidence adduced on their behalf, and the Court being satisfied of the consent of the majority of the owners of the said Orewha Block, and that such block can be dealt with to the advantage of the owners thereof by being incorporated as hereinafter appearing, it is ordered that the owners whose names are set out in the Schedule hereunder written shall be and the same are hereby constituted a body corporate within the meaning of section 122 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” by the name of “The Proprietors of the Orewha Block,” subject to the powers, liabilities, and incidents conferred or imposed by the said Act or any amendments thereof. The said land contains 98 acres 2 roods 29 perches or thereabouts, and is bounded as follows: Towards the north by road and Small Grazing-run 83, Block XVII, Tuahu Survey District; towards the east by Section 1, Block XIIA, Taramarama Survey District; towards the south by Section 1, Block IV, Taramarama Survey District; and towards the west by Section 1, Block IV, Taramarama Survey District.
