SHEELEY, of Roslyn House, 116 Marshall Street, Johannesburg, Transvaal, Engineer, and EDWIN ANDRE TOMLINSON,

posts or pegs which project beyond the inner surface of the
matrix or body, and serve to retain between them, when the
mill is in operation, pebbles or other free bodies (when such
are employed), waste rock or pieces of the charge, thereby
protecting the matrix or body from excessive wear.
