Removal of Order forbidding Postal Correspondence for Dr. Martin, M.D., Sydney.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, being satisfied that the person whose name and late address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is no longer engaged in advertising the treatment of diseases of the sexual organs, hereby rescinds the order made under section 9 of “The Post Office Act Amendment Act, 1906,” on the 14th day of August, 1907, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 22nd day of August, 1907, forbidding that any postal packet addressed to such person shall be either registered, forwarded, or delivered by the Post Office of New Zealand, and orders that such postal packets addressed to such person shall be registered, forwarded, and delivered in the usual course.

Forbidding Money-order and Postal Correspondence for J. A. Rennie, Sydney.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in a fraudulent business, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of “The Post and Telegraph Act, 1908,” that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name), or to such address without a name, shall be either registered, forwarded, or delivered by the Post Office of New Zealand.

THE following amendments, made by Army Order No. 139 of 1909, to the Regulations under which Commissions in the British Army may be obtained by Officers of Colonial Military Forces, are republished for general information.

REGULATIONS UNDER WHICH COMMISSIONS IN THE BRITISH ARMY MAY BE OBTAINED BY OFFICERS OF COLONIAL MILITARY FORCES, ISSUED WITH ARMY ORDER NO. 164 OF 1907.—AMENDMENTS.
- THE following amendment will be made to clause 2 of the syllabus for the subject of “English” in the Army Qualifying Examination, in Appendix II, of the above regulations:—
For “Short ‘pass’ essays on a limited number of questions (three to be done of a larger number set)” substitute “English composition tested by essay or letter writing (a candidate will be required to write an essay on one of three given subjects, or a letter on a given subject or from data).”
- The above amendment will be brought into force at the Army Qualifying Examination to be held in March, 1910.

Notice of Intention to take Land for a Road in Southern Portion of Section 17, Block III, Wairere Survey District, Piako County.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road in Block III, Wairere Survey District, Piako County, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is further given that the plan of the said road and of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Te Aroha, and is there open for inspection. And notice is also given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Wanganui Master Bakers’ Industrial Union of Employers, registered number 358, situated at Wanganui, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon me by section 21 of “The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908,” it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.
