ALL that piece or parcel of land, situate in the Hautapu and Ohinewairua Survey Districts, containing 630 acres 2 roods, more or less, known as Awarua No. 4c No. 12A, and comprised in a partition order of the Native Land Court dated the 9th day of June, 1904, in favour of the said Te Rangiwhakahaua and another.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of July, 1909.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section four of “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1895,” it is enacted that the Governor may, by Order in Council, except from the operation of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), for a limited period or otherwise, and either generally or for such purposes and subject to such restrictions as shall be in such Order specified, any land, wheresoever situate, which is for the time being subject to the operation of the said section, or any interest therein or right over the same, or may in like manner make such exception in favour exclusively of any lessee or other person who has been bond fide in occupation of and has made improvements on such land, or has paid money to Native owners for lease or purchase thereof, prior to the passing of the said Act: Provided that no Order in Council under the provisions of this section shall take effect until after the expiration of two months from the date of the publication thereof in the Gazette: And whereas the Aotea District Maori Land Board, by a recommendation made on the twenty-first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and received on the fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nine, has recommended the Governor to except from the operation of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” for the purpose of alienation by way of sale, the block or parcel of land particularised and set out in the Schedule hereto.
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section four of “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1895,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby except the said land from the operation of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” for the purpose of alienation by way of sale.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land, situate in the Mangawhero Survey District, containing 10 acres 3 roods 19 perches, more or less, known as Pukewhakapu No. 4c, and comprised in a partition order of the Native Land Court dated the 25th day of May, 1900, in favour of Pukeke Hune.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, &c., County of Opotiki.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of July, 1909.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the preparation of the rolls for the County of Opotiki, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times mentioned in “The Counties Act, 1908,” and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said “Counties Act, 1908,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.

For preparing the defaulters’ list and the rolls for ridings within the County of Opotiki: Until the 15th day of June, 1909.

Time for which such list and rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 28th day of June, 1909, to the 15th day of July, 1909.

Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 31st day of July, 1909.

Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 19th day of August, 1909.

Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 31st day of August, 1909.

Licensing George Keir Austin to use and occupy a Part of the Foreshore of Otago Harbour.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of July, 1909.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, there being no Harbour Board empowered to grant the license hereinafter mentioned, George Keir Austin, of St. Kilda (hereinafter called “the licensee”), has applied to the Governor in Council for a license under “The Harbours Act, 1908” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), to occupy a part of the foreshore in order to erect and maintain thereon a boatshed in Otago Harbour; and, in accordance with the one-hundred-and-fiftieth section of the said Act, has deposited a plan in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington (marked M.D. 3366, two sheets), in duplicate, showing such shed and the place in the said harbour where it is intended to erect it, and the area of foreshore intended to be occupied for such purpose: And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation, and the said plan has, prior to the making of this Order in Council, been approved by the Governor in Council: And whereas it is expedient that a license under the said Act, for the purpose aforesaid, should be granted and issued to the licensee on the terms and conditions hereinafter expressed:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the purpose or object for which the said license is required by the licensee as aforesaid; and, in further pursuance and exercise of the said power and authority, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth hereby license and permit the licensee to use and occupy that part of the foreshore which is particularly shown and delineated on the plan so deposited as aforesaid, for the purpose of constructing or erecting thereon a boatshed; such license to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the following terms and conditions, that is to say:—

In these conditions the term “Minister” means the Minister of Marine, as defined by “The Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908,” and includes any officer, person, or authority acting by or under the direction of such Minister.

The concessions and privileges conferred by this Order in Council shall extend and apply only to the part of the foreshore shown on the said plan marked M.D. 3366 (sheet 2).

In consideration of the concessions and privileges granted by this Order in Council, the licensee shall, on being supplied with a copy of this Order in Council, pay to the Minister the sum of two pounds ten shillings, and thereafter an annual sum of ten shillings, such annual payments to date from the date hereof, the first of such annual payments to be made on the licensee being supplied with a copy of this Order in Council.
